Congrats to everyone who has managed to get it over the line this week so far, and commiserations to those still waiting - hopefully you'll all have good news by the end of the week.@Becksina - have a glass, no a bottle of wine, watch something trashy on tv and just switch off from it all and accidentally switch your phone off tomorrow morning for a few hours
Really feel for you.Update from me -
EA's progressor called today to say LA search came in yesterday. Buyer's solicitor raised enquiries off the leasehold management pack last Tuesday and raised enquiries off the LA search today. She didn't mention what sort of enquiries or how many but that she would chase my solicitor at the end of this week for an update. Hopefully not too much longer now.1 -
We’ve had enquiries back. The seller is pushing to exchange, even putting in deadlines. However our solicitor isn’t really responding with an update. Not quite sure what’s happening, and asking the solicitor isn’t working so far.
The searches, enquiries and mortgage offer is all with the solicitors. Is there anything between that stage and discussing exchange that occurs?

Can our situation get any worse!!! So after agreeing 4 weeks ago we would break our chain and go into rented as the top of our chain feel apart after one property from the top was stalling to see if local authority would allow the building of 1500 new homes to her house...
We today (after weeks of being told we are a few days off e change 🙄) fund our that the FTB at the bottom of the chain is getting a Barclays Springboard montage and needs to exchange and complete on same day as its a 100% mortgage 🙄🙄🙄🤬🤬
After weeks of saying we have to have weeks in between exchange and completion because their are zero rentals coming on and after weeks of trying to find air bnb, caravan sites etc etc that we could book a few weeks at a time to now be told this I’m in complete shock.
i asked to have this on email from our buyers agent, and they also said that their solicitor is a competent local solicitor but doesn’t really answer agent enquires, and will do things in their own time and it seems one step by one step and will tell us when they are in a position to exchange (!!!!!!)
we are also told today that this same FTB rental finishes mid April and they need to be moved by then! After we have asked for exchange imminently with completion 21 May to give us time to find a rental or air bnb that will take us all and a dog!Our agent is telling us to go back on market. However, we don’t want to lose our purchase... they are still yet to find a new property so we have time there but still, can I really go through weeks of viewings and then subsequent months of new buyer and chain below taking forever?!Please send help if any advice what anyone would do at this stage?!!0 -
Sorry for all the typos I was typing with so much anger lol0

Oh I feel your pain! Not sure what to advise.BountyBlink said:Sorry for all the typos I was typing with so much anger lol
Our chain broke down in July last year a 2nd time, first time we were willing to break the chain and rent, but buyer lost their jobs. Second time we had a house we had and offer on lost out on it.
Only thing about going back on the market is you are held to ransom, as some buyers who have been watching the market know you were on the market before. We didn’t get any further offer (a silly offer) till November, due to the market, but it could be a bit better now.0 -
Oh poor you!!! What a nightmare for you! So you have been in this process for nearly a year?!! I though ours was bad. I really don’t know what to do!Insomniac101 said:

Oh god @BountyBlink that's ruddy awful, I really don't know what's to suggest other than love! I know how you feel re going back on the market... I have heart palpitations just thinking of it (which is why I ended up taking a low ball offer on mine as she wouldn't budge and was only interest we had!)
Probably silly question but do you absolutely have to move? Obviously you're on the market for a reason but that was without all this hassle!!0 -
Another one here really feeling for your situation @BountyBlink. I don't think there is a right answer. Sending a virtual hug.0
