Just received the worst call ... our vendor decided to pull out "due to very private family reasons". Gutted isn´t even the word  :'(
Oh no, this is all of our worst nightmares.
Hope you can find another buyer soon. Not sure how far along in the journey you were, but if you can get another buyer lined up quickly it's worth looking at whether they can buy the searches etc to speed things along. There are lots of potential buyers looking at the moment. Stay positive.

  • @Natbag thanks, it´s the vendor, they´ve decided to stop the process all together and completely take the house off the market :(

Oh no @Josephgousto ….I utterly DREAD that call (to the point where whenever an agent leaves me a voicemail they specify 'Don't worry, nothing wrong, just an update' at the start because they know I panic otherwise).

honestly both me and my partner are heartbroken ... we´ve suggested increasing our offer, but not sure whether that is gonna change anything at all ... good luck to you all! hoping to rejoin again at a later stage

Sorry, I missed that part. Oh no, I'm so sorry. Hope you find somewhere else that you love just as much, or more. Keep us posted.

It sounds like they might have suffered a bereavement or something....its awful when vendors pull out and as you say nothing really you can do but I bet it was last resort for them too. They might sleep on it for a bit and come back to you. Do you have a related sale or are you rental/FTB?
  • @Caz_Mnaz we have two related sales, one being my house where we currently live and the other being my partner´s property which is a buy-to-let. We are planning to go ahead with the sale of the buy-to-let still, and will unfortunately have to tell my buyer (a FTB) about the news.

It's been painful but.... just exchanged, hooray!!!  Fingers crossed for completion Friday.  Hoping it's less traumatic than the last few days of trying to get exchanged  :D
Yay finally!! Very happy for you, but sad and  jealous to be losing my Accord buddy haha! Hope completion goes smoothly and you're settled in over the weekend :)
Lol! Got to get through completion yet haha!  Not feeling confident after the faff of the last few days, but really hoping to have those keys in my sticky paws on Friday afternoon :) yours is sooooooo close though!  Really hope it happens for you soon!
  • I am pretty new to this whole house buying stuff. Our searches were ordered on 11th and should be back on Thursday if they follow the turnaround that was quoted. Hoping to not have too many queries.
I have a question though. Should my conveyancer have sent over the draft contract pack? I know they have had it since the 9th, I'm just not sure if I should chase for it or wait until the searches are done. I have not been massively impressed with them so far, they have never answered an email and the only info I have had has been when I call them - this has been off the back of requests they have sent me btw, not me harrassing them.
