Well we’ve had revised contracts and TR1 forms today - signed these months ago but there has been amendments related to the delay in our chain so signed and returned them today....hope this means we really will get our exchange this week but not holding my breath.....my husband has given up all hope, is totally fed up and I’m trying to keep spirits up for our children who have had enough of the temp accommodation (as have I as we are in week 11 of what should have been 3/4 weeks!) 😬 we had our reasons for breaking the chain but it hasn’t been an easy ride.

It really is good to see some people are getting there this week and hoping everyone else waiting gets a step closer

I’m starting to get slightly agitated by the lack of information coming out of my solicitors.
We have been told that we are completing this Friday and he is 99% sure this will happen, this is with just 1 weeks notice. Then when asked when we will exchange he said some time this week .. I have since called asking again for clarity of details and yet again have been told he will call when they are exchanging... seriously they must have some idea when they are exchanging if they have said we are completing this Friday 😩.
Either way time booked off at work , removals booked and kids excited !!

Depends completely on your local authority.
Some are getting searches back in 10 days, others are taking 3+ months...

My buyer just gave me a deadline of Wednesday to exchange and complete on the 12th. Apparently as well as his wife being due very soon his buyer is in the Navy and expects to be shipped out the w/c 15th March. I never know whether to believe this stories.
Anyhow, just finished moving about 75% of my house into storage so I'm ready whenever!
Hi, have been following your story and haven't commented before - but seriously, what on earth would they gain by pulling out! Wouldn't get either parties into their new homes any quicker.  I just wish people would stop giving others ultimatums - its stressful enough (and you've had your fair share) it would be different if you were purposely holding things up!   Anyway, hope things work out :)

This absolutely! Some buyers have no empathy as to what is going on the other end. My sale and purchase have been stress free but seeing what some people on here have been through its just cruel.
