🤣 the house we are buying is empty and we have no chain so I’m hoping it won’t be long now 😁

So our sellers came back on Friday evening and said that the 15th was too soon to complete, so the 22nd is now our new proposed date (our buyer has agreed to this too). Had a scare with the mortgage today but that's sorted now hopefully, and our solicitor is now reviewing the final responses from our sellers.... Fingers crossed for exchange this week!!!

I’m stressed out so much! Solicitor is still waiting for Barclays to send the funds to complete today!

    Hi All,
New here and posted on this thread couple of times. We received a call from Estate Agents on Thursday saying our vendor is willing to break the chain and will move to rental. So they are willing to exchange on Monday and completion on 12th march.
Just received a confirmation that we have exchanged. Such a relief, but again till i have the keys i dont think so this stress will be over as i can see people waiting to complete as sometimes bank dont send funds on time.
  • My buyer just gave me a deadline of Wednesday to exchange and complete on the 12th. Apparently as well as his wife being due very soon his buyer is in the Navy and expects to be shipped out the w/c 15th March. I never know whether to believe this stories.
Anyhow, just finished moving about 75% of my house into storage so I'm ready whenever!

Didn't your buyer previously give you a deadline of today or he'd be pulling out, or am I confusing you with another poster?
If so, I wouldn't pay too much attention to his deadlines!

What a relief!! Ours did the same a couple of weeks ago - I had envisioned months of waiting for a never-ending chain

All searches back now except the local searches. Due back 10th. Solicitor preparing documents to sign in anticipation of arranging an exchange/completion date. The whole chain needs to be ready to go by 3rd week of March so the pressure is on! Just did a massive run to the tip to get rid of stuff we won't be taking! Amazing how much stuff you accumulate over the years.
