Good job I’m not in a chain or else there would be a lot more people stressed out.0 -

Anyhow, just finished moving about 75% of my house into storage so I'm ready whenever!
If so, I wouldn't pay too much attention to his deadlines!
As a side note - my seller did mention the 22nd March before so I wrote to the EA telling them a) it has to be the 12th or the chain collapses. b) their original paperwork said their target completion date was end of Feb and c) his house is empty - he lives there with just a TV, a bed and a toothbrush (ive seen it when I have visited) so he can do one as far as I'm concerned.
Not coming this far with all this stress just to let someone delay it all cos he can't be bothered
Worst case I'll move his stuff out myself when we move in0 -
We are hoping to still exchange today but may be tomorrow. We were waiting to hear back from the sellers solicitors regarding the state of the walls which they have agreed an allowance of £700 on completion. All still on for Wednesday, cant believe how much stuff i have got rid off or sold on Facebook market place which will pay for a couple of takeaways in the new place.0

Another day with no news for us
the latest I heard was the chain wants to complete on the 15th, we would have to exchange by this Thursday at the very latest for that to happen. I know that we have been ready and our sellers have been ready to exchange for several weeks now, but their sellers are apparently not.

New here and posted on this thread couple of times. We received a call from Estate Agents on Thursday saying our vendor is willing to break the chain and will move to rental. So they are willing to exchange on Monday and completion on 12th march.
Just received a confirmation that we have exchanged. Such a relief, but again till i have the keys i dont think so this stress will be over as i can see people waiting to complete as sometimes bank dont send funds on time.0 -
I’ve had the busiest day of work, then refreshed my email at 4.30 and ping!Proposed exchange of middle to end of next week and completion week beginning 15th, finally some light at the end of the tunnel1

Long time lurker here but now pulling up a pew and joining the anxious waiting train 😩 chased loads today, but nothing much back. No dates being discussed even though agents keep saying “we are all there” it’s so tiring! Waited all weekend for some glimmer of hope to just to have to wait tomorrow probably for nothing too...

We are supposed to be exchanging and completing on our sale (cash buyer) on Friday and yet ...and yet...I have a very strong suspicion that absolutely nothing of the sort will happen and both the solicitors will have forgotten to do something. I don't know what my tactic should be, ring every day until then and ask if we are still good to go? And of course there is the budget on Wed to add to the uncertainty....0
