Reading that things do move... but slowly has given me some relief and sanity.
We have the Freeholder inspection today for them to sign the "license to assign" on our sale
I'm hoping that means we are close to exchange as this is one of the exchange documents... I'm quite sure all enquiries are done

What happens after enquiries are responded too if they are satisfactory? Is that when you can arrange the final dates or is there other stuff to be done?0

The tagline for conveyancers (and everyone generally involved with house buying) should be,
'House buying can be a fun and exciting time. We'll ensure it's not'As things plod along, we're remembering those heady days back in October, when we started this nightmare, when the stamp duty deadline in March was such a distant threat it was obvious we'd be done and dusted waaaay before then.
Oh, how naïve we were.5 -

I thought that I might get a bit of luck today, but obviously that's just not possible. All we need to do is arrange a new date, yet sounds like the solicitors aren't communicating properly. Seller said their solicitor had emailed ours, whilst ours is saying their solicitor isn't answering her emails... Meanwhile, my stress levels are so high that I just want to go home, get in bed, and wait for all this to be over.
