Nothing I say or suggest works either so I am worried for him which in turn upsets me. It's a situation beyond our control except for contacting EA or solictor for an update. Lockdown and house moving isnt easy. No where to go and the focus is solely on this move, not healthy. Does feel good to air concerns on here though. Congrats to those who have completed or exchanged, hoping to be where you are very soon.
I think this is what is making it so difficult. Good luck for Tuesday! We were supposed to be completing tomorrow, but somehow I don't think that's happening anymore.tigerlily74 said:I certainly feel like giving up often. On Monday I really did give up, cried on the phone to the purple bricks call centre and told my partner I didn’t think we would ever be able to buy the house. It felt like we moved heaven and earth to get the issue we had been struggling with since November finally resolved that day. But we did. Then, today, my solicitor found another (seemingly minor and easy to fix) issue with the contract. Why she couldn’t notice this before I don’t know. But I don’t feel like giving up today. Let’s see how I feel at the end of the week if it still hasn’t been resolved. We are aiming to complete on Tuesday so it’s very tight.
Good luck to everyone, it’s a difficult time to be moving house, as someone said unthread, there is nothing else to focus on, and living in and working from home in a town/place you hate makes it’s really tough.

@Anty21 @tigerlily74 @WiseOwl00
It is comforting in a way to know we are all on a similar page and I'm not alone in my worries.
Totally agree wiseowl working and house stress with no break in between it's not healthy for the mind. I cannot imagine working in a hospital while taking on the stress of a house move. I try to look for the positives but I'm also afraid of disappointment in the process as I'm in the middle of another hurdle. In between work I take walks to breath in the fresh air, it is about all I have. Sad world we live in at the moment. I too know that this move, new house, town will give us so much to look forward to in our future coming out of the pandemic.
@tigerlily74 keep going, just think how far you have come.
@anty21 you and my other half can have a good chat. To be fair I'm fed up with where we live, it's becoming a concrete jungle and the infrastructure is caving.
We all just need to get there! Think I'll have a few more grey hairs and wrinkles by the time this done. Lol.

Today was our day of exchange. Instead, today has been the day our sale collapsed. Devastated.
Having never stated their intention to extend our house, or raised any enquiries about this, at the 11th hour they've re-read the deeds and realised they can't extend the house the way they want to. If they'd told us when they viewed, we'd have told them this. Surely, if this is your intention, you check at the outset. Fuming.

Oh no Amyr!!!!
I know they say it all works out in the end but that is little comfort at the time of what feels like utter disappointment. And that late over something that could have been highlighted early on is horrible.... Eurgh.0 -
Oh no amyr, that’s just awful news.0
