Just been told our buyers searches have been ordered but not likely to be back for 3 weeks!
Also her solicitors are apparently being difficult with ID verifications around her mortgage deposit so the EA are advising her to change solicitors... when they recommended this one in the first place.
Very annoying and pushing us closer and closer to the end of the SDLT holiday!0 -

I’ve exchanged!! I’d basically given up thinking it would happen today, then got the phone call at 4:30. Completion is 23rd Feb.Just wondering what happens now? I’m a FTB (living with my parents) so I won’t be moving in on completion day, but what actually happens between now and then?7

We are middle in a 3 people chain. ftb are buyers from us and no joke they have asked 80 enquires ( apparently solicitor is there family members) and in the end of last week it came down to us just agreeing to a insurance for a wall we took down 5 years ago which is not needed. Which we agreed to Just we can exchange . Now just waiting to exchange. Our solicitor said he’s waiting to hear from buyers solicitor and he’s also chased our estate agent which we have to left a voice message at 10am this morning. It’s the constant radio silents just driving me mad don’t know how much more I can cope. How many times do people put in calls ?I feel I’m just annoying agent and solicitor0

@Movinghome12345
At the beginning for us I only put in a check in email every 2 weeks, but January weekly "hi, do we have any update?" This week I've panicked and emailed the solicitor 4am Monday morning and emailed the Estate Agent. The Solicitor must've picked up my panic and has emailed me twice yesterday and twice today.

We were sent the completion statement today and transferred part of the deposit over (sending other part in morning due to bank transfer limits!!)
Solicitor said this morning she was waiting for final confirmation from our vendors solicitor and we should be able to exchange within the next day or 2 with completion next week. Hoping to get a date tomorrow atleast!
Congrats to all who have exchanged/completed! Hoping to be in the same boat by the end of next week!3 -
