Well I know I won't hear anything, chain confirmed everyone pushing for end of March completion (who isn't??!!) but nothing I can do now other than sit back and hope the bottom of the chain are getting on with things!
I'll stay here to provide support and a 'venting' ear for the rest of you until its my turn! Here's hoping it's a fruitful week for everyone!3 -
I've already emailed ours this morning and had a response.pinklady3333 said:Here we go again! 45 mins until things open again. How long do I wait before chasing....??
The solicitor is saying they are waiting for a couple of documents from the client, for our lender?
Anyone any idea what these could be??0 -
Buyers solicitors seem to have done absolutely nothing. Don't think they've even ordered the searches yet!
Annoying as there's nothing we can do - couldn't get another buyer over the line in the time, so looks like we're going to have to fork out £9K SDLT0 -
Fingers crossed for everyone waiting!
We have been ready to exchange since the beginning of last week, so have our sellers and buyers. The only person not ready is the FTB at the bottom of the chain - all we are being told by our EA is they are waiting for 'legals' whatever than may mean and that 'hopefully' they will be ready to exchange this week. The problem with this is that all parties had agreed on a completion date of 17th, which the solicitors had said should be fine, however now my solicitor is saying we need to exchange by tomorrow for this to happen, to give him 7 clear days to order the mortgage money etc.
We are in contact with our sellers, who have booked their removals (because they are moving a long way away) and are saying if we cannot make the 17th, the date will have to move back a few weeks, so they can rearrange removals.
My solicitor is saying, he can do nothing now other than sit and wait.
I am very stressed, but just don's know what else I can do. Does anyone have any advice?
I was considering contacting our buyers EA (who is selling their place), but is this a big no no?.....
Thanks!0 -

Out of interest, how long do you give solicitors to reply to an email before chasing it up?0

I spent more time talking to our vendors agents than my own. Call whoever you need to to get things moving. What's the worst that could happen?runner81 said:I am very stressed, but just don's know what else I can do. Does anyone have any advice?
