Amazing!! Congratulations, so happy for you! Hope the move goes well 🥳RoyalPlum said:And we've exchanged !!!!!!!
I am a bit taken aback to be honest and it is still sinking in.
Complete night and day compared to last week where I had convinced myself that seller had gone quiet on us as they were going to pull out. This has been the most stressful experience of my life and I have not helped myself one bit by building up all these fake scenarios in my head.
For everyone still waiting to exchange, all I can say is please look after yourself and your wellbeing. Adding Covid to the mix has made an already stressful process almost impossible to manage. Keep pushing, even if you have to chase everyday! And try (as hard as it is) to keep positive by focusing on the little wins (as small and insignificant as they seem).1 -

So for those that have exchanged, how long did it take after you agreed a date with everyone? Supposed to be exchanging within a week and wondering if that is feasible? When should I start to worry its not going to happen and when should I start chasing without being a pain?

Congratulations to those who have exchanged 🎉
I have to say the waiting on searches is driving me round the bend !!! I’m in a short chain of FTB, myself and then a chain free property. The vendor took 5 weeks to hand in their paperwork which delayed the process hugely. My FTB seems to be getting to the point of exchange and we are now just waiting on local searches due back this week. I’m hoping once they are back there isn’t too much leg work to do before we can arrange a date and exchange, but who knows ? We are being optimistic and trying to be prepared by packing pretty much 80% of our possessions.. it’s like cardboard box city and we are unpatiently waiting this week and praying our searches come back. I’m soooo ready to get this wrapped up 🙈. Good luck to everyone else. Is it just me or does the impatience get worse the closer you get to the finish line!0 -
It's got worse for me. I'm living with boxes as well. Just want to get exchanged so I know what date I'm working towards.

Where are you up to at the moment in the process ? I felt proper chilled as a cucumber until last week , worse this week .. I think the closer it gets to March and the more boxes we have packed to more irritating it gets 😬TrudieinLondon said:It's got worse for me. I'm living with boxes as well. I’ve held off packing, don’t think I could bear to look at all the boxes and the potential of unpacking it all again. We have been decluttering on a major scale, deep cleaning as we go and packed the shed at least. We’ll begin packing in earnest once we know the tenants in our onward purchase have been able to vacate.TrudieinLondon said:It's got worse for me. I'm living with boxes as well. I’ll be surprised if we end up exchanging this week. EA said earlier the 1 enquiry (asbestos report) on the vendors onward purchase they are waiting for was passed on to the management company who have again passed it on to the people who originally did the checks for a copy of the report. I imagine that will take a while to come back ☹️0

Very impatient now though and I have weeks to go 😂1 -
We have hopefully a little over 4 weeks to go. We’ve been waiting 5 months so far but this last month is going to feel the longest I imagine.Caz_Mnaz said:Same!! Learnt the hard way not to start packing until exchange has happened.... But doing lots of sorting and about to pack up the loft etc.
