We haven’t had much of an update, due one tomorrow after EA chases final enquiries. She did say that our seller is really pushing to move now, considering it’s just us 2, we hopefully shouldn’t be waiting much longer!2

Congrats to all those who have exchanged/completed today!! X2

Apologies for delay - been a busy day!badger09 said:

Burst into tears of relief. Been a rocky journey since end of July when house went on the market, with a few bumps along the way. We complete on Thursday and furniture etc comes out of storage on Saturday.
Oh, and I've managed to book our 1st COVID vaccinations - husband tomorrow, me on Friday. Going to a busy few days ahead
.
Good luck to all who are waiting for that call.
We completed @ 11.45 today. Hastily prepared lunch then packed up car with some of our (excessive but didn't know how long we'd be here in temp accommodation) stuff & headed to collect keys.
ROAD CLOSED - bl**dy typical!
Navigated diversion, collected keys & visited our new home. Its as good, and as cold - 1st priority job - as we remembered.
Very clean, thank you Mrs vendor - but as expected, they'd removed every scrap of toilet paper. Why would people do that when you've just paid them over £400k? Never mind.
Another trip with a car full tomorrow after my COVID jab, then we move in on Saturday.
Can't wait to be in our own home again.
I've loved catching up with everyone's good news today - especially oniongirl (finally got there!!) and annetheman.
Good luck to everyone else on this journey. I'll pop in from time to time, but I need to get my life back and remind myself that there are other things happening outside the world of moving house.9 -
Seems like we’ve had a very similar week. Not holding my breath that I get any kind of meaningful update tomorrow. Our seller has dropped off the face off the earth. 😭😭😭😭😭😭1

How long from my replies to the enquiries being sent to the buyers solicitor until exchange would people expect? They were returned 2 weeks ago. I've been pushing for completion on 15th Feb but losing hope by the day.
It a no chain sale to a cash buyer & the whole legal process is driving me mad now.

Received F&F forms today and transferred my deposit to solicitor. Just waiting on the bank to send a letter to the HA solicitor confirming mortgage offer is for correct shared ownership percentage share and price.
I’m hoping I’m almost there as the solicitor asked me if I had a date in mind for when I wanted to be completed by!0 -
Congrats! This is so lovelybadger09 said:

Small word of caution - please take it easy after your jab! I know you’ll want to get unpacking but my friend’s mum had it the other week, went straight outside to do some gardening and then it really knocked her out, had to stay in bed for a day. She’s totally fine but I think she overexerted herself as her immune system was cranking up!1 -
Yes it seems very similar. Honestly same, expecting the worst but also really hoping for the best, just can’t imagine it tbh. Fingers crossed you hear something good, let me know!RoyalPlum said:fastbs said:We haven’t had much of an update, due one tomorrow after EA chases final enquiries. Already have Saturday night's meal planned & in freezer in new house - Tesco Chicken Jalfrezi meal for 1 x 2.
NOT what we usually eat as I'm a cook from scratch person. But - I know my limitations and that all I'll want to do on moving in day is, get in, have a celebratory glass or 3, do several online video tours for son & friends abroad, & those in UK, eat, then sleep - ideally for about 3 days
