Mine sent me them separately too. I signed the one for my sale right at the start, but just getting the one for my purchase in the coming weeks now all searches etc are done.TrudieinLondon said:Thank you. So I need to chase him on that. He sent me the purchase one two months ago.
Not that we can exchange until the bottom of the chain has caught up but it's nice knowing my side of things all in place.... If not frustrating to literally just have to sit and wait for the goodness know how long!0 -
Sale contract just needs to be signed, not witnessed. TR1 needs to be signed & witnessed.
Do you know how near you are to completion on your sale?0 -
As far as I know everyone is ready to go. My solicitor said something like he is waiting for buyers solicitor to request exchange last time I spoke to him. No response to my chase email on Thursday. Will ring Monday to see whats going on.

Does anyone else get frustrated seeing other people's sales (not in this forum, people known in real life) absolutely fly by whilst yours gets stuck for weeks at every single step? We had the vendor of the first property pull out after 3 months, just as our mortgage offer (which took 3 months...) was finally issued. Then we had a four week delay in receiving the contract pack for this house, then a six week wait for the searches, then two weeks of no progress for Christmas and now we're on week 4 of enquiries! Plus add in a few days of adverse weather conditions and two lockdowns. Meanwhile, I have seen so many people in real life sail through their purchases with barely any issues, or the odd minor one. When is our luck going to turn?! Can anybody else relate?

My friend across the street put her house on the market in Sept, a month after ours went up, accepted an offer after 48 hours (we didn't go under offer until Nov) and moved early December..... We are looking like April now. It was bittersweet watching her move out!! Her buyers didn't even get a surveyor or any enquiries.....WiseOwl00 said:Does anyone else get frustrated seeing other people's sales absolutely fly by whilst yours gets stuck for weeks at every single step? I guess the majority are on here because people have had problems either trying to get a mortgage, issues with buying or selling. It's rare for any just to fly through although i can see how it looks from reading the posts.WiseOwl00 said:Does anyone else get frustrated seeing other people's sales absolutely fly by whilst yours gets stuck for weeks at every single step? To be honest, no. And we’ve had our fair🤔 share of issues. I don’t begrudge others a smoother ride than mine.WiseOwl00 said:Does anyone else get frustrated seeing other people's sales absolutely fly by whilst yours gets stuck for weeks at every single step? But there will always be people who think the world should revolve around them, and that’s not confined to house selling & buying4 -
Congratulations to everybody who has exchanged, completed or both in the last week. It really does give many other forum users hope for the (not too distant?) future......4

Yes it helps seeing people who started the process around the same time completing because it gives a bit of hope that the end might not be far off. Also, gives me confidence that I'm not being totally unreasonable to expect some progress.

I can think of at least two friends who weren't even looking for a house when we were in the process of buying the first house which fell through. Now they're both homeowners! Think I've just been cursed with bad luck haha.Caz_Mnaz said:My friend across the street put her house on the market in Sept, a month after ours went up, accepted an offer after 48 hours (we didn't go under offer until Nov) and moved early December.....
