Well we've completed 🎉🏡 Took about 4 months with no chain so I really have no idea how you guys are doing it with long chains !

Thanks for all the help and support , it's taught me so much and I only wish I'd found this group earlier ! Good luck to everyone waiting on updates 🤞
    Congratulations.
Although it’s taken a while, you seem to have had a very smooth transaction. Enjoy your first home and the next chapter of your lives.

So we completed on Wednesday 27th. Been far too busy to get on. We completed two days before our mortgage expired. Was the most stressful day, I managed to lock my car keys in our old house after taking the keys to the estate agents. I mean seriously 🤦 one of them had to come and rescue me!

Anyway, hang in there everyone, if we can manage it anyone can.
So happy for you ! I've been following your posts on here since I started my journey. Congratulations!!

That’s excellent news. Hope you will be very happy in your new home.
  • I have a very basic question that I've googled and cant find the answer to. I've signed the contract for my purchase but I havent seen anything to sign for my sale. I filled in all the required forms initially (f&f, property information form etc) but I've not signed anything that needed to be witnessed.  Should I have done, and if so, what is it called?

It's called the contract, it's the the same thing as the one you signed for your purchase.
Your solicitor will send it to you and ask you to sign it once the sale is nearing exchange.
  • Thank you. So I need to chase him on that. He sent me the purchase one two months ago.

My contract did not need to be witnessed so this may be the case with you. Check it anyway.

I only needed a witness for TR1 and mortgage deed.
