  • Solicitor just called (a miracle!) and she's 'dealing' with my LISA withdrawal, finally. So should exchange next week if they draw down the money.

Also still waiting for mortgage deeds to turn up in the post to sign - does anyone know if these have to be signed for Exchange? Or just needed for completion? I need a witness and that's a pain right now!

  • AS I SUSPECTED, HA actually rejected my mortgage offer saying it means I don't meet eligibility for affordability as a condition of sale BUT they had old (March 2020) calculations with incorrect share %, income and outgoings.
*heart stopped, panic in the middle of a meeting*
I sent the updated eligibility with correct details and EA just confirmed: "Fantastic. That's great news. Thank you I will pass on this info in order for [HA] to approve mortgage offer and move to exchange."

Jeeeeeez that's so incompetent of them to make you panic like that!! Ugh! I'm sure it will ALL BE OK.

If we both complete on Friday 26th we need some kind of virtual - shared-ownership-has-nearly-killed-us party hahah

Well there we go, keys collected and just had a walk around our lovely new home.

Probably the end of my lurking on this forum for a good while, no plans to go through this stress for a long long time!

I wish everyone good luck and hope their purchases go through smoothly  <3
Enjoy your new home! That'll be me.... Maybe 2035??? 😂🤦‍♀️

Congratulations JessJ23425, I hope your home is full of love and laughter.  I've finally heard from my solicitor and 11 March completion confirmed.  Will now have to face the sagging boxes in the garage, didn't realise the frost would cause so much condensation.

Still not got an exchange or completion date, so looks like another miserable weekend ahead of me. Not sure how much more of this I can take.

I'd be interested in the answer as the only thing holding up our chain exchanging is the bottom of the chain signing theirs and sending back after an amendment.

One of the estate agents did ask the question, but if anyone on the email chain replied, I wasn't CC'd in.

Only my solicitors getting my LISA money. They've had the other £18k for a week now. And I need to sign some things but after weeks of me telling them I don't have a printer, they've finally posted them out (apparently).
