Ive had an email from my solicitor today saying the Housing Association haven’t been replying again. I feel like sobbing. They haven’t replied or done anything they should for months at a time the whole way through. It has cost me so much money and stress and its just not fair. They need them to reply probably today or tomorrow for the completion of 17th. I hate my life. I was so excited. Ive worked so hard since January last year without a week off for all the payslips for a mortgage. I just need a break now. I’m getting to bursting point.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Well just as I was on the phone about to ask for the CEO/ the top dog of the Housing Association so I could kick off, the woman from the HA got back to me confirming she has confirmed completion of 17th August. Now let’s see if her solicitor gets back to mine in time. This is a &:&/!/@;£-&:£- joke and I really really hope in 12 days this stress is over with.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Its frustrating isn’t it @purple_ck Ive woke up from 2 hours sleep after a night shift to the emails saying they hadn’t replied and now I’m sat here with palpitations. Its an actual physical stress on my body. I just want it over with now, I’ve almost given up a couple of times just because I feel like I’m banging my head against a brick wall.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

I totally understand you, I've been on this since February and cannot take it any longer. I feel that nothing is done unless we request the solicitors to do it. So far, still more enquiries to be replied. It is so frustrating, I feel like we have lost the whole summer in the new place, adding this stress to the COVID is quite too much0

Fingers crossed for you. We're doing final staircase on our SO house. HA did stipulate a 3 month sale requirement - its been nearly 2 months now, so hopefully ours will be in the next 5 weeks. We got mortgage offer last Monday, but haven't signed contracts nor spoken about exchange / completion dates ... our solicitor has asked their solicitor ....FtbDreaming said:Well just as I was on the phone about to ask for the CEO/ the top dog of the Housing Association so I could kick off, the woman from the HA got back to me confirming she has confirmed completion of 17th August. Yeah I’m the same @anewbuyer I was expecting to own the house in April and get the loft conversion done throughout the summer. I don’t think we are gonna be able to do it through the winter so that’s a whole year lost.Ooh go luck @izoomzoom I bet you can’t wait to be free of the Housing Association! I certainly can’t!Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

I’m in Flintshire, it’s supposed to be a 2 week turnaround.withaspritz said:
I can only imagine. Which local authority area are you in? 1 week in, and our LA (Manchester City Council) state 2 day turnaround on their website!zv13424 said:Currently waiting on my solicitor to reply regarding searches, these were ordered 4 weeks ago and I’ve not heard from my solicitor in 2 weeks. Very frustrating!
I’m mostly annoyed at lack of correspondence from solicitor! When he eventually gets back to me I get a reason about being busy over weekend or something.I’m busy with work too.. chasing him weekly isn’t ideal 🙈0 -
Tell me about it! I'm on the other end of the fence, as I am the seller and our buyer is waiting on the searches. The situation is that the buyer's solicitor is holding all enquiries until the searches get back, and with the property being leasehold (apartment) I want to know what extra steps I will likely need to do to get the place sold... e.g. management packs etc.. It's just put everything on hold. I know the searches are fine as they were when I bought the place, it's just this big pause I don't like!!zv13424 said:

This is what I don’t get! I’m a nurse in a&e... I have to assess, investigate, treat, document, communicate with patients and relatives, arrange follow up and handover of a patient and do referrals as well as handle a million other enquiries. This can be 12 or even 24 different patients in a shift and equals more physical work than any of the solicitors have had to do for my transaction that has been with them for 6 months upto now.zv13424 said:

I definitely chose the wrong career!Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700
