Congratulations!
I'm finding the wait between exchange and completion even more torturous because there is nothing to do speed anything up. Just wishing away the days until Feb 4th!0 -

Congrats! Happy for you but so, so jealous0 -
My buyer has told my EA that they have to complete by 11th February and we've still got a couple of enquiries left on our purchase. The landlord of their rental wants them out so they've given notice. Doesn't give us much time at all.0

What queries are outstanding? I hope they can be resolved quickly. All of ours are outstanding on the purchase atm...waaaaaah0 -
Congratulations Lurkingtopost, been a long time coming!
That sounds stressful Chimpy, good luck with it!
I sent the final documents to the mortgage broker yesterday, so come Monday we should finally be able to get that ball rolling in earnest. If this goes wrong somehow it could really !!!!!! everything up, so trying not to think too much about it at this stage, since there's absolutely nothing I can do about it at this stage. I think my repressed anxiety is looking for other outlets though - I went to see the house with my builder yesterday and my brain has suddenly decided that X is a Problem, even though I've had X in several homes (including the current one!) and have barely ever noticed it. Here's hoping next week brings some reassurance, before I go completely round the twist!0 -

We’re seeing our solicitor on Monday to sign, no major things but we’ve also just found out there’s a related purchase on the sellers side but we were led to believe that it didn’t need to coincide together. A few enquiries left on the other side too. I’m just taking each day now nothing I can do. Just wondering if our buyer has done this to speed the process up because the offer went in end of October. We didn’t offer on our purchase until end of November.0 -

Thanks both.
Unfortunately we didn’t exchange because someone on the team of the solicitor 2 down the chain from us wasn’t in on Friday !
I can imagine this could be very frustrating, but I have no reason to believe there is anything more to it and expect to exchange on Monday.0 -
We’re waiting to exchange!
We started by accepting an offer in August and found our dream home!
In November we had to say goodbye to our buyers, Exchange date after exchange date came and went and their stupid solicitor found more problems and actually finished by telling them not to buy our house!
So then in the dying days of December we embarked on an alternative route which has meant applying for 2 mortgages!
We have both mortgage offers and are awaiting confirmation from one lender that we can proceed to exchange. There’s one slight problem which solicitor feels is a formality....!
I’m so pleased I’ve found this thread because now it is actually doing my head in!
Hopefully should be able to exchange next week but it’s so painful waiting and being at the mercy at the lender!0 -

Oh goodness, I couldn’t cope!
Daft o’clock and I’m wide awake with a zillion things on my mind. Going to ramp up chasing solicitors and estate agents this week to daily. Need to exchange and get a date for completion so I don’t go crazy...I haven’t even been waiting long in comparison to some!0
