Good luck Sophie! We are hoping for 29th too but just spoke to the EA and she said that the sol for our purchase hasn't reviewed the last enquiry response yet :mad: Hopefully they will get to that today and we can exchange tomorrow - fingers crossed!!

We are ready to go on the sale side, just waiting on the sols for the purchase to confirm they are happy but they told the sale sols this morning that they are still awaiting a response, which can't be true as they received it yesterday! So I called them three times but got no answer, left a voicemail for them to call me...not sure they will, might have to chase up again after lunch
So close now and our buyer has confirmed 29th is good for them, their funds have been requested etc.
Bit stressful this, isn't it 0 -

I just need a space to vent. Is anyone waiting to exchange on a new build ?
I have been at the stage of waiting to exchange for the past 6 weeks and i am slowly losing the will to live. I got an email last week from the developer that the only thing outstanding was the gas meters being fitted, which was due to happen on 19th June, and then he was waiting for the CRL New Build Warranty insurance certificate to come through, which he said he should have received end of last week. We were set to exchange last Friday and complete today.
Well Friday came and went without exchanging, the warranty is nowhere to be seen, and the gas meter still hasnt been fitted. Both solicitors are confirming Thurs 28th as completion date but nothing is guaranteed til we exchange and we cant do that until we get this certificate. I really wish they wouldnt throw dates around like this if they can't meet them. Meant to be exchanging before the end of tomorrow but i just cant see it happening. Argh!!!!0 -

Thanks you, we are just waiting for our buyers to pay their deposit and we can exchange, so should be any time now. Hopefully before the weekend!
