So annoyed now, it's been 4 weeks since they were raised! I have now missed the deadline to give in notice for my flat for July, so will have to pay for an extra months rent. All the solicitors keep doing is saying it's the other solicitors fault - they are all a complete bunch of liars

What position are your vendors in?

Our vendors are similar, we have about half our enquiries back which were raised 6 weeks ago. I dont people do this. We answered our buyers enquiries the same day.

Just here for a bit of a moan about the estate agents.
Quick background info: we are first time buyers. Offer was accepted end of March. Most things are done now, just a couple of outstanding issues - mainly to do with the lease.
I emailed estate agents yesterday morning for an update, but didn’t get a reply so gave them a ring in the afternoon. The estate agents is jointly owned by two guys. One of them answered the phone and I said my name n was after an update. He said just a moment. At this point he obviously forgot to mute the phone because I heard what he said next “this is why I get no !!!!ing work done coz I’m !!!!ing mithered all the !!!!ing time”
When they picked the phone back up I called them out on this and said I’d heard what they had said. He denied it and then said oh it wasn’t about you and I’ll have a word with the staff about swearing.

I can’t believe how unprofessional that was. Especially with it being THEIR company. Disgraceful.

They are obviously forgetting that it is their job to progress sales as well as sticking few pics on rightmove!

Still waiting on this deed of covenant thing to be resolved. We have signed and returned a copy that the sol has but they have requested more info from the seller's sol, such as, 'is this all there is to sign or are there any other forms' and they haven't had a response for over a week

All pushing for 29th June completion now, including our buyer, us and the EA, just need this one last thing resolved... :(

Oh dear! That's terrible, I bet if that was just an employee of a chain of EAs, they'd be disciplined for that!

We've finally exchanged! Moving next Wednesday.
    I'm never moving again.
  • 26/02 Offer accepted
05/04 All enquiries answered and contract signed
Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, more waiting....
Today 19/06 week 16, still no idea of an exchange date, apparently all its waiting on is a restriction to be uplifted from the land registry on the house our seller is purchasing, something to do with a hedge. Its all down to a hedge *sigh*. Not sure how long this takes, but not confident of a speedy resolution, genuinely feels like its never going to happen!!
