Supposed to be exchanging today but not heard back from our buyers solicitors. Feeling very nervous as completion is set for tomorrow and it all feels really fraught now!

Our is Thursday but it's a long chain so we're pushing it.

We had proposed the 30th as a completion date, however our buyers had not responded and EA said something hadn’t been done for the gifted deposit the buyer was using.

our solicitor has asked if there is any chance of completion tomorrow still, but assuming this wasn’t going to happen we are not prepared for this in any way. Such a pain not having much of a clue if/when anything is happening

Good luck to everyone trying to exchange today

We’ve found out more info about the garage leasehold issue.  It turns out that the couple that previously owned the house have split up which makes things more tricky. One partner has apparently signed the TR1 but the other partner still needs to sign it.  Apparently the one party is taking the form to the other for it to be signed - making me very nervous that he will refuse to sign it

Oh gosh it’s all so stressful isn’t it! I’m now being chased by our removals firm for the go ahead and I can’t get hold of my solicitors

Yeah, all the removals vans in our area are booking up fast with ppl wanting to get away before Christmas. Ours is only provisionally booked so we could lose it. It's the worst stress ever.

It's awful. We've been like this for ages. We were supposed to complete yesterday and got no responses the week before. Now we're waiting again for supposedly agreed new date on Thurs. How are ppl supposed to arrange anything?

Urgh messy. Our sellers are also splitting up and we've had a few awkward shenanigans.
