I believe the searches came back two weeks ago. I know it varies, but how long has it been for everyone from this point to get to exchange/completion?
We still have enquiries outstanding, chase your solicitor, get the estate agent to chase, if no one replies to emails ring them. Our sellers solicitor isnt very proactive and sends everything my post which isnt ideal. I did ask the estate agent to ring their solicitor rather than email as obviously they weren't responding to emails. But i am still waiting.....
Good luck x
Good luck to you too and hope you get an exchange/completion date soon!
Have a small chain, our buyer lives with family and our sellers moving in with family, so only really us that needs to move on move day.
We were expecting feb completion, but that isn't going to happen. Solicitor said need to request mortgage funds by wednesday this week for completion on 4th March, but enquiries still outstanding!!! Our sale is fine and ready to go, just slow sellers solicitors holding us up.
I am literally emailing and calling EA and solicitor every day.
Good luck and fingers crossed for you x0 -
Yeah sleeping on a mattress on the floor wasn’t what we planned lol. But it can’t take much longer surely.I’m sure I won’t hear anything until gone 10 as no one is on the ball but hopefully when they call it will be good news.0

No exchange yesterday, apparently even though we were proposed a completion of Friday 25th the top of the chain still have an outstanding enquiry on the title deeds - not sure how long that takes to resolve and you’d think that would be one of the first things a solicitor looks at!Hoping to get an answer today to see if we can go ahead or not or if someone will break the chain cause I need to let movers/storage and every man and his dog know so we don’t lose more money 😭0

Does anyone know if senior assistant can do the exchange or if the senior solicitor has to do it?Our solicitor is out of office today so not sure if we will even be able to exchange.(Both of them have been working on our house move)
thanks.0 -
New to the forum here and I've really appreciated reading of people's experiences. We should have exchanged last week and completed yesterday, but found out (at the end of the day on Friday) that the vendor's mortgage redemption statement hadn't arrived. We're having to reorganise the buildings insurance that we'd arranged, but don't even know if we'll exchange today. How is this normally dealt with (given the uncertainty over dates of exchange)?
Thanks and good luck to everyone!0 -
Still nothing here. I’ve lost it again and said if we don’t have any answers today we are pulling out. Of course our solicitor has sent a email but doesn’t mean anything will be done. Apparently the estate agents couldn’t get hold of buyers solicitors either. So frustrating0

It's an ongoing battle when one persons solicitors in the chain are crap1

Finally got replies from Santander. They will confirm to solicitors that funds can be ready tomorrow morning. Then we can exchange tomorrow and complete on Friday. Now I just need to find some last minute removals people who are free!!!! Ekk!Hope everyone else has seen some progress today2

so on we go .Apparently buyers solicitor wanted 2 words changed on a stat dec which has now been done and sent over
Surely we must be near the end...I have never been through a sale with such an incompetent set of solicitors from a buyer & that's saying something0 -
So found out it is actually the buyers who still haven’t completed the ID checks.Has anyone ever used Thirdfort? Is it easy to have your documents verified? There is a slight language barrier so the buyers thought when it says client in progress meant they were waiting for the people to verify it but I have tried to explain it should say client complete.Pulling my hair out.0
