Are your vendors okay waiting or is this jeopardising your onward purchase? Our onward purchase they are really chilled as their property they got from a trust when their parents died so it’s empty. We aren’t in a rush now as we missed our sons school deadline so I think on Monday I’m going to say they need to tell us realistically how long they need and then when they think they are ready we will discuss completion dates. Our next completion date wouldn’t be until 11th March anyways so if they say we will be ready by end of week we can check towards the end how they are doing then go from there. But I’ve said categorically we will not exchange and complete on the same day. It was never our plan anyways but were forced into a corner. We’ve paid almost £2000 for various things searches, surveys etc since we have tried to move back in July and we could of put that towards something else so don’t want to really give up now and have nothing to show for it. I’m trying to stay positive now I’ve calmed down but I was so angry yesterday and this morning but trying to not give up yet.I really hope we all have a good week next week. There is a few of us who are really going through the ringer with these house moves. If it gets bad people just think Charlotte had it bad and she’s still plodding along. 😂 just lol.
TBH, your timescale for completion on 2nd choice house was always ambitious, but I'm not sure if this is still your original buyer? If it is, then totally understand your anger at the continuing delays.
FWIW, you've been through so much and sounded as though you really love this house, so please don't throw in the towel at this stage unless you're absolutely sure about it. Your vendors will probably wait a few more weeks for you.
buyer from July. Our ambitious target of 8 weeks for our purchase actual was achieved believe it or not. They really helped with assisting and staying in contact. I was optimistic but it’s frustrating it’s our buyer who should of been ready months ago.
hey ho we move forward and see what Monday brings.I’d like a 1-2 week window for exchange and completion now lol.MONDAY: I’ve calmed down now lol. Going to see what my solicitor says today and asked her if she can get a realistic time frame the buyers solicitor needs to complete. As we have no deadlines to try and meet now.I’ll update you all later.1 -

I’ve spoken to the estate agent. Apparently the ID check was for money laundering. PPL send a text or something to a link to an app where they have to upload a passport and a selfie or something. Then they will be ready. Apparently the original solicitor is fuming it didn’t complete last week cos she was on annual leave l. If that’s true or not I don’t know but we will see.Charlotte1

Fingers crossed.Just add insult to injury my seller goes on holiday next week for two weeks 🙈 we are the most unluckiest people I know lol.1
