Didn’t exchange
Apparently everything is not sorted with Santander. We are using gifted money to pay for stamp duty which apparently solicitors need to tell Santander about (which given it’s not to do with the purchase and that is covered by equity in house and mortgage is irritating)
still waiting to hear back from Santander and their decision on if we need a new offer and for it to be approved by underwriter. So annoyed as thought we were all ready and now this!Won’t be moving on Friday now.Baby due in 3 weeks time!!So stressed!!0 -
No exchange here either - what’s new!! But here’s to hoping for some better news tomorrow. The buyers wife has done her verification apparently so fingers crossed it’s there but I’m not holding my breath. Our mortgage has gone back to NatWest form now.0

Hi all, new here, I’ve been reading through some of your comments and thought I would join in!Our solicitors are currently waiting on responses back on their enquiries to the sellers solicitor. I believe the searches came back two weeks ago. I know it varies, but how long has it been for everyone from this point to get to exchange/completion?0

We still have enquiries outstanding, chase your solicitor, get the estate agent to chase, if no one replies to emails ring them. Our sellers solicitor isnt very proactive and sends everything my post which isnt ideal. I did ask the estate agent to ring their solicitor rather than email as obviously they weren't responding to emails. But i am still waiting.....
Good luck x1 -
Fingers crossed tomorrow is the day for our completion.
Sellers have said they aren’t intending to leave until 3.30 as their flight is later in the evening, this breaks the contract as it states 2pm for vacant possession.
I’m going to have to bite my tongue as to not spoil what should be an amazing day!!Finally completed on our new home
