  • Nothing again today. Apparently no one can even get hold of the solicitor. PPL are the worst company going.

I’ve been in floods of tears as I can’t do anything about it and I’m going to end up having to move by myself as my partner won’t be able to get more time off if we don’t move Friday.

I’m never doing this again. This is the worst move we have ever done.

Please forgive me if I’m not in here for a few days I’m really upset. Good luck everyone.

I'm so sorry, hope you get some good news soon and are able to work something out for the (eventual) move.

Failed to exchange AGAIN today! Finally had confirmation of funds from the lender but now the sellers solicitor can't get hold of the seller to give the final OK to exchange. Now hoping we can exchange tomorrow and complete on Friday (thankfully no chain behind me and property should be vacant by now!)

Fingers crossed for everyone else who's similarly being dragged along at the last hour. Feel like I've aged twenty years in the last fortnight!
  • Finally had our completion statement through to send over our deposit to exchange - never been so happy to send over a such a large sum of money - we’re due to complete next Friday -  only 5 months after the original completion was supposed to happen 🤪

Got all my fingers crossed - I’ve found a few extra greys in this process 🤣
  • I think I might be nearing the home straight towards exchange now. My estate agent says the buyer has their mortgage offer and are happy with the answers to the queries. My solicitor said they need to send me a report on the answers to my enquiries, but I think we are nearly ready to go on that front. I am the only person moving, so completion is mostly up to me as I am selling to and buying from landlords. I am hoping for around the end of the month for completion. Fingers crossed.

Bless you, really feel for you and hope this sorts out sometime soon. Agreed PPL are shocking.

excellent... we are still trying to battle with our buyers solicitor so time for an ultimatums. Exchange by tomorrow or the deal is off to them for good .
  • Ive given our buyers and their solicitors until 2:15pm otherwise it’s not happening. Doubt they will be bothered.
