The pessemist in me is still doubting it will all go through eventhough I know it kinda has to now!
The whole process of selliong and buying has been such a s*** show I wouldn't be surprised if it all went pete tong for me again lol
We only had 24hrs between exchange and completion but I didn't sleep particularly well that night. Everything was fine of course. I only ever know of Completion not happening on the planned date once and that was some friends of mine who were sat at home surrounded by boxes waiting for the call from the EA, only to get a call to say Completion didn't happen. Of course it happened a couple of days later without any further issues. Such occurrences are very rare I think......2 -
I’m on the verge of crying. Still no contract to the buyers solicitor. We are meant to be hiring vans tomorrow to start putting our stuff in as we are only moving up the road we are doing it ourselves.I’ve told the estate agent I’m categorically not exchanging and completing the same day.My stress levels are through the roof. I’m scrapping the barrel for some positivity but there isn’t much left thats for sure. I physically feel sick.😔1

I'm desperately trying to get removals sorted and pushing solicitors to get exchange sorted!
Issues keep popping up from nowhere!

Hopefully you get some good news soon!We are meant to be completing on Friday. It’s just cutting it too fine for my liking. And my partner can’t just take them off when he wants so if we don’t get it sorted this week then I don’t know when he will get the time off to move again a good couple weeks I expect. We just don’t have very good luck and it’s getting to me now. Doesn’t help my partners ready to throw in the towel and say F it we will just stay here. 🙈0 -
Me and my partner was discussing a 'Deed of trust' as i have put in a lot more deposit than him, our solicitors quoted £120 for this and needed to be signed before completion (Feb 18th) there email was sent last week. I went back to them on monday explaining we will no longer be wanting the 'deed of trust' due to not having any spare time to sign it and not having the spare £120. Only for them today to come back and ask for £90 for the draft (understandable now) but i was not expecting to pay for a bloody draft, for god sake, might as well have signed it. so !!!!!! off now going to try find a spare 90 quid ughhh0

Try and focus on something else for a while to give your head a break .
We've been waiting for over 2 weeks and something or other pops up out of the blue.
we re Ok on dates as such just as long as we have at least 10 days before completion after exchange .. easier said than done but you will look back at this and wonder why you got so stressed
Exchange and complete on the same day would be a no no for me and I won't complete on a Friday either .. hope something happens for you soon1 -

You asked your solicitor to draw up a legal document on your behalf, which they have completed for you.
Is it not unreasonable to expect to pay them for the work they have completed as per your request?
Incidentally £120 is very reasonable for drawing up such a deed and whilst hopefully you may never need to invoke it it could prove to be the best money you have ever spent.
Utter madness to proceed without this in place.3 -
Not exchanging today, hopefully by Friday. Seller's useless solicitors found a form unsigned, seller's only just posted it to them 1st class (not even Special the cheapskates). I'm crossing everything the form arrives in time so we can complete Monday as I had to book my non-refundable non-changable removals starting Tuesday!0
