Realised late last night the solicitor the estate agent was trying to get hold of was on holiday!!!! I happened to look at a email which she was in on and seen it. So I’ve asked them to contact another lady that was on the email yesterday to try and exchange through her.MzH_2021 said:

Just waiting and praying we still complete on Monday.Fingers crossed we all get some answers and actual exchanges tomorrow.I’m not hopeful today. I’d love to be positive but I’m just stressed and anxious.Good luck everyone.1 -
It's horrible waiting , no matter how many times you go through this (number 18 now) this is the worst part.charlotteo1988 said:

The one we are going through now is only temporary and will have to go through it all agin in about 18 months time but this is probably the hardest one of all.
We have been waiting for 2 weeks now for exchange and even this week is very doubtful..
Hang on in there it will happen at some point0 -

Exactly that.firstbuyer said:Why did no one tell me that the anxiety still says strong even after you've exchanged!!
In fact, I'm sure I found mine to be even worse.
Maybe it's harder when you're going it alone, and you don't have anybody else to help alleviate and offload some of your fears.
That was the case for me.
I know it's easier said than done, but please do try and relax and enjoy the moment.

I'm at a week and counting for the lender to confirm the funds will be ready by Friday so we can exchange and complete. Thankfully no chain behind me and the property is vacant so I'm still hopeful of a miracle but the longer this goes on I'm starting to lose hope things will get sorted this week!0

Oh don’t tell me that 🤣 😭firstbuyer said:Why did no one tell me that the anxiety still says strong even after you've exchanged!!2 -
Almost there but i swear the nearer you get to exchange and completion the more things pop out the wood work to derail you!
Latest is we are borrowing some money to pay for stamp duty from mother in law. We need to prove where these funds have come from (fine - totally get the need to do money laundering checks) but its just savings which were transferred into an ISA back in 2019 and has sat there since. Really hoping what we have provided is enough evidence and they don't need anything else. Cant access bank statements online pre 15months so would have to be a request to the bank and could take 10 days! which we dont have as aiming for completion 25th/28th. Ekk!0 -
I think this is true. It's something that most people have been through but forget just quite how hard it is when you're in the moment!Effusive said:

We are having the same conversation. The solicitor knew about this last year and had statements which they said they didn’t and suddenly they found when I said I’ll be logging a complaint/data breach if they’ve lost documents.amylou1107 said:Almost there but i swear the nearer you get to exchange and completion the more things pop out the wood work to derail you!

Ekk!Now they want statements for the savings account the money is sitting in and we’re having the same conversation about statements.
I’m waiting on their compliance team confirming that the trail stops at the savings account which we are registered on and should be sufficient - due to complete next Friday.1
