  • So exchange of contracts didn't happen today - feeling very frustrated about it all - this process has been going on for 19 weeks now and there are only three of us in the chain my buyer, me, and my seller who already had a house to move into.

Sorry to hear that - we didn't exchange today either. What's frustrating me is that we gave authority last Friday, then there's an outstanding issue with top of the chain, then authority again yesterday and then radio silence today. Considering we're meant to be completing Thursday I don't understand how we're so on and off with exchange.

I just hate the lack of communication. At least if I knew what was going on and why, I could understand what was causing the one-off exchange. Ah well, time to forget about it and try to have a nice weekend!
