Hi all, we finally have our mortgage offer, after being messed about for 17 weeks by Nationwide we jumped ship and got it all approved with HSBC in just one week!
So now we're itching to get on with things but there's radio silence from our solicitor, who had previously been really good at keeping us updated. I've chased a few times but no response.
Our searches are done, enquiries back, contracts signed...is there anything else before we can set exchange & completion? We need to give notice to our landlord tomorrow if we're moving in October, to me that sounds doable but I don't want to leave us homeless!0 -
Sounds like you're pretty much there aside from transferring deposit funds, but there might be things outstanding if you're in a chain. If so, it might be worth chasing the EA for an update of where the other parties are at.hellosunshine17 said:Hi all, we finally have our mortgage offer, after being messed about for 17 weeks by Nationwide we jumped ship and got it all approved with HSBC in just one week!

I feel you on the notice issue - we have until the end of the month luckily, because I wouldn't be happy giving notice before exchange just in case.

Did you exchange? We didn’t 😞
I rang to chase it and the solicitor had gone home for the day, hadn’t told me either way. I asked them to chase it as I needed to sort building insurance. So I just know we haven’t exchanged. I don’t know why 🤷🏼♀️19/7: Sale property on market

Anyone know how long it takes t receive a management pack?
They've had eight weeks but I don't know when in those eight weeks it was requested, first I heard they were waiting for it was this week.0 -
Nope, or at least I assume not. Haven't heard anything from our solicitor since giving authority this morning. Did get a text from Nationwide to say fund had been requested, though, so assume we're still on for completion.scottie21 said:
