Elle83 said:Hi everyone!
We agreed a sale on our property 23rd June, our onward purchase offer was agreed 24th June. Our buyer is no chain, and onward purchase is vacant.
Had our mortgage survey and offer sorted 9th July.
Delay with buyer's HB survey but that was done 28th June and they came to view our house again with parents that weekend. They said nothing major came up, all good. They had a valuation done on the 29th June as they switched lenders to get a better rate. Either the buyer or his dad works in mortgages - they told us this when they offered.
It is now 16th August and all searches/enquiries are done but our buyer's solicitor says they have not received their mortgage offer yet.
Rational part of me says if it was such a good rate, perhaps the lender is busy. Neurotic side of me is panicking.
I am hoping it arrives this week so that we can exchange. Fingers crossed!1 -

@DeletedUser - is there anyway your buyer can still get their mortgage? If the LTV wasn’t near the top it may still be an option, depending on how significant the difference is. They could also try with another lender. What have your buyers said?0
