They were moving here for work. They said they reluctantly withdraw because of work commitments. So assuming they are no longer looking to work here. Nothing we can really do there. Got told via email so waiting for more info from the estate agent ATM.0

Thanks. It's so horrible. Hoping for some good news for everyone else to show it can be done!2

@Lorann_86 I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you find another buyer asap.
Sitting her waiting for the call we've exchanged, just need authority from the sellers apparently.0 -
It's time for positive vibes again in the lead up to Friday. Hopefully good news for some on completion, while others wait for something to happen next week. Good luck to you all!
We got our purchase HB report back this week and all looking good there. Finally heard back from seller's agent on missing contract pack - apparently it's on the way 🙄 Only 8 weeks since offer accepted. If we'd waited for that to arrive before instructing searches we'd be scuppered (45 working day wait on those with our LA). Hey ho.0 -
So sorry for those who've had bad news this week. It's such a frustrating process. Hang in there (hopefully not for as long as us)!0 -
We've exchanged! I am going to have some sangria.5

We are in a two property chain that formed on 24 June and almost ready to exchange on our purchase because we bought all the searches from the previous buyer who pulled out at the last minute. We love this house and got a bargain on it - no way can we afford similar houses in the area now with the market the way it is.
But, no further developments on our buyer. Their solicitor had contract pack on 6th July and no news since despite chasing EA twice to find out if searches have even been ordered. I'm terrified this is a sign they are about to pull out of the purchase.
This process is excruciating!Keep chasing the EA!! That’s why they get paid!! And let’s face it, they don’t if you don’t complete
Hope you get good news soon.0 -
@Tampopo It could just be that their solicitor is slow (we have way too much experience of that). Plus, novice buyers might not know about searches and that they need to push for them. Not everyone is as proactive as we'd like them to be (she says through gritted teeth)! However, they could be holding back for other reasons. Our first buyers messed us about and wouldn't commit, so we had to go back on the market. It was really nerve racking at the time, but we found more buyers quickly. When this happened we were really stressed cos we were all chasing March 2021 deadline (Ha!!!!). We then spent ages worrying that our 2nd buyer might pull out. This was all back in November 2020. Now it's a different story & you'd very likely find a buyer quickly. It's a seller's market, so really try not to worry. If I were you I'd call the EA and say if we don't have proof of commitment by next week we're putting house back on market. You've nothing to lose. Either they'll commit, or they'll pull out. Better now than further down the line. It's also in EA's interest to sort this, so it might give them the rocket they need. Good luck!0
