Gave them 3 days to contact the vendors solicitor and get a date… still nothing I don’t think they’ve even contacted them 🤦🏼♀️ We are only in a chain with one other person. We need to know two weeks in advance as it is 🤦🏼♀️🙃
im good to complete on the 21st , the house I’m buying they happy with the 21st as well.Told my solicitor to email my buyers one and the EA done the same. That exchange will need to be yesterday the latest. So far nothing happened and none heard from my buyers solicitor since the 22nd of June.Just call them and ask for an update , or just want to know what’s the reason for the hold up.I told them I need 2 weeks so I can book a kennel for my dogs , and sort out removals. But they don’t seem to care1 -

Call the EA. They usually know what's going on.
There is yet another hold up on my sale due to the sellers debt. I am absolutely sick of this.2 -

We accepted an offer on our property 19th May. Already had a sale agreed on another property (vendors are going in to rented).
Last solicitors in the chain instructed 25th May.
We are a 3 property / 4 household chain.
All mortgage offers / searches etc sorted. Just waiting to see if there's one more enquiry?
Now looking at exchange asap if possible for completion end of the month.
They were going to try for exchange today but it's been delayed till tomorrow morning but fingers crossed it happens then before the weekend!0 -

I spoke to the EA today and she said they have been calling/emailing the vendor for a few days and are not getting a response. I know the vendor did confirm access for a building survey this week to be conducted next week, so not sure what the delay is. I am quite worried about a down valuation, so really wanted the valuation back before spending £1k on the building survey...I have until Monday to cancel the survey without penalty.
I was worried about down valuation too - given that the house I was buying was the most expensive semi on the street ever - but it was absolutely fine. You could always try and move the date of the structural survey if worried, I probably wouldn't pay for one until I had the mortgage offer, but this could obviously inconvenience the vendors if already arranged0 -

Just got an email from the solicitor, in the middle of an intense video call, while trying to keep a professional face and not grin too much!!!!!
OMG I can't believe it! I'm going to pick up the keys after my last meeting at 5! Will check back here later for everyone's updates too!
@CLJ2986 still keeping fingers crossed today is the day for you too!!!! Let us know!1 -

God this is driving me around the bend. EA chased me today for an update, spoke to solicitors assistant and they still haven't sent over the enquiries despite them looking "v straight forward" searches have been back nearly 3 weeks so no idea what's holding that up.
Vendor is concerned about the house being empty and paying 2 sets of bills untill we complete. I can't imagine they'd pull out as it would take another few months to get to this same point surely. But feel very powerless atm.0
