We accepted an offer on our property 19th May. Already had a sale agreed on another property (vendors are going in to rented).
Last solicitors in the chain instructed 25th May.
We are a 3 property / 4 household chain.
All mortgage offers / searches etc sorted. Just waiting to see if there's one more enquiry?
Now looking at exchange asap if possible for completion end of the month.
They were going to try for exchange today but it's been delayed till tomorrow morning but fingers crossed it happens then before the weekend!
7 weeks from offer to exchange I feel is pretty good going at the moment. Such a fantastic team of solicitors, estate agents and mortgage brokers. Feeling very grateful.
Moving day isn't until the end of the month but we can sort ourselves out properly now! x0 -

C_N_ said:The vendors solicitors seem v on it so far so should turn them around quickly, hopefully the rest will then fall into place. I'll have turned grey by the end of all this though. I'm glad we've found somewhere we'd be happy to stay long term though because absolutely **** doing this again

So it’s another week of 😢
we found out last week that our buyer hadn’t even had his searches requested (ours have been done and back weeks!!) because they’d not sent the paperwork out. It’s now been resolved and searches requested Monday (our searches came back within a week so 🤞🏻)
yhere are a couple of outstanding enquiries from our solicitor to our seller and then that’s all ready and everyone above is too… can we keep our 🤞🏻 Crossed0 -
Sent a strongly worded email to the head of conveyancing this morning, basically our last straw before we raise an official complaint. When we wrote down everything black & white we saw how much of a slow moving shambles it has been. Apparently the vendor asked the EA if we'd go and sit outside the solicitors untill it's all sorted 😂3
