Parents tried after me bugging them too, our solicitors tried and couldn’t get through. At 4.15 my parents eventually got through to be told she was leaving at 4.30 so couldn’t do anything now, even tho she has promised exchange for the past 3 days!!..and that she was aiming for simultaneous exchange and completion tomorrow.
Que me with a frantic call to our side who have said yes they will do this.I’m seriously hoping tomorrow is the day or we will start owing parents rent again in July. You’ll find me with a massive glass of wine in hand tonight
We got a solicitor to represent my partner and they are happy to have a call with him tomorrow and receive the signed paper and produce the document to show the lender he has sought independent legal advice and understands everything he is signing. The lender will not be happy with a scanned document, so we next to post the document to this solicitor, who will add their paper with their signatures and then will post it to my solicitor, who will then send it to the lender. So just this snailmail will eat away at least until Monday, even with next day delivery. Then she needs to put in a new request for release of funds, which the lender might take another 5 days to agree with, so hopefully we can exchange by then, but it will be end of next week. I'm broken. Today was beyond stressful.Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

Current outstanding: 16,397.67

@laura_lau so sorry to read your traumas, so infuriating for you, I do hope it gets sorted by next week for you.
@mat1964 I would dump that buyer you've been messed around so long by them. I know this has been going on a long time, can't your gf tell the EA she no longer accepts the offer?4 -
@laura_lau what a horrible time you have had! I can't believe your lender has done this so close to the end, it's inexcusable. I have everything crossed that the paperwork you need to sign gets there asap and your solicitor can request the funds.@BountyBlink - yay!!!!Congrats to everyone else who have also exchanged and or completed in the last day or so
