Supposed to be completing on Friday but feeling rather itchy as still haven't exchanged yet and haven't heard from the solicitor since Monday! All mortgage funds are with them and deposit etc, surely it cant be much longer...
Totally understand the feeling. The fact that all funds are with your solicitor is a good thing though, so if the agreement is for Friday, I think you should be fine!!

Had the call from solicitor to say I won’t be completing tomorrow.
My sellers solicitor hadn’t given enough time to the rest of the chain in order to make the tight deadline. It might be next Friday, but who knows. Feeling really disappointed.
24 hours have passed and we've exchanged to complete on Friday. I am exhausted!

Good luck to everyone finishing their house buying rollercoasters today!
  • Well I was supposed to be exchanging and completing today... the seller is uncontactable and his solicitor states he has not given him instruction to proceed - guess we won't be making stamp duty deadline....

Thank you. I hope so! I've been reading your journey for a while, I'm so sorry to hear the rollercoaster you're going through. Hopefully you can still be on track for next week.

We got our completion statement through and deposit has been transferred! Just got buildings insurance in place ready to exchange although they didn't give me an exchange date so I've just done it from tomorrow, is that OK?!

I'm so pleased for you all that have managed to exchange/complete and keeping fingers crossed for you all so close to the line!

After a week of radio silence from the vendors, the EA has just got hold of them today and confirmed that they're pulling out of the sale and withdrawing from market. You'll find me sobbing in the corner in the corner with a bottle of wine 😭💔

Thanks @Firsttime2021 they said they'd considered our offer but they're struggling to find a rental so don't want to commit to anything anymore. I get it but I'm still really mad, disappointed, frustrated, slightly teary. It's just so depressing to start all over again, though the only good part of this process is how amazing our conveyancer and broker are - definitely keeping them on the books!

Sorry to hear you're in the same boat as us. It's so frustrating to be back at the beginning!
Fingers crossed the right property comes up for us both soon.
