@jenni_fer it really is! I had a quick look on Zoopla and RM and have seen a few houses back on the market but with big reductions. I'm guessing we'll see a bit more of that over the next few weeks so fingers crossed we both find something even better soon!jenni_fer said:
Sorry to hear you're in the same boat as us. It's so frustrating to be back at the beginning!JS21 said:I'm so pleased for you all that have managed to exchange/complete and keeping fingers crossed for you all so close to the line!
After a week of radio silence from the vendors, the EA has just got hold of them today and confirmed that they're pulling out of the sale and withdrawing from market. You'll find me sobbing in the corner in the corner with a bottle of wine 😭💔
Fingers crossed the right property comes up for us both soon.2 -
Should I have been told about indemnity insurance, and what it's for??0

I've been charged for it on the completion statement but no one has mentioned that I needed it? Sorry I realise my initial question wasn't very well explained 😅baileykxo said:
It’s for completing before searches come back but solicitors don’t really tend to promote it unless you ask about it. If you ask them I’m sure they will advise you!CLJ2986 said:Should I have been told about indemnity insurance, and what it's for??0 -
So they invoiced you for it but you don't know anything about it? That sounds a bit cheeky to me! You should have agreed to it. Did you have any pending documents or permissions that were discussed?CLJ2986 said:

That’s doesn’t seem right, I would question it ASAP and say you weren’t made aware of this charge. I was asked if I wanted it after I said I wanted to complete ASAP and told it would be extra.laura_lau said:

That's what I thought but the statement says indemnity arrangement fee and indemnity policy. I'll call tomorrow before I send the remaining payment. There was one enquiry that wasn't fully answered about a right of way but I haven't been told about anything that needed indemnity insurance!1

This is what I envisaged. Definitely will be more properties on the market in the coming weeks!JS21 said:

The SDLT relief is something which, for those offering after January, should have been seen as a bonus if it happens rather than a given. I'm just praying my buyer doesn't pull out due to it, although throughout the process by EA has been saying we wouldn't meet the deadline (he was correct). I never intended to, but would have broken the chain for my buyer to, although that won't happen now.RoseGold2021 said:

I really hope people and the media don't revel should properties return to market because it's horribly difficult (and traumatic) for those it affects.0 -
I'm not convinced it will have had the same impact in Wales as for those of you in England but we'll seeRoseGold2021 said:
