Congrats to anyone that managed to exchange today! I'm mentally composing the email I plan to send the EA tomorrow and rehearsing my phone call to the solicitor for Monday afternoon 🤣 just can't switch off from it!1

I very stupidly set up internet at my new house. I didn’t think they’d run a credit check as I’m staying with the same company but they did a hard search. Anyone know if Santander rechecks resit score before completion?DIP 09/02/21

Anyone know if Santander rechecks resit score before completion?I hope your lender doesn’t mind, in any case they’ve already approved you, so i really think that it would take much more than just one search done by a utility company for it to make a difference! Hi.Hoping for some advice or some experiences from anyone who can help.
So.. we had our offer accepted on a property in April, mortage accepted in early may and offer received, sent to solicitors.
Searches submitted on 27th May - these were all back within a week. Mortgage deed also signed.
Enquires were raised 3 rd June and we have been at a standstill ever since. Enquires were quite simple ones, none that would take a lot of hard work from the seller. Have chased the solicitor, seller and the estate agent and just keep getting told the same thing - “awaiting response to enquiries”
Am I being inpatient or is over 3 weeks more than enough time for enquiries to be responded too? Nobody seems to be in a hurry, certainly not my solicitor!I am getting quite annoyed now as the property we are purchasing is chain free and are chain free too.0 -
Update - strap in this is a wild one
Husband phoned and literally refused to get off the line till he could speak to head of conveyancing.
CoT was faxed while on phone
3pm Got assurances that he would personally look at our case
7pm phone call to say everything is sorted we would get emails of contracts to look at with physical copies on the way
11:37 pm get contracts AND request for extra proof in money laundering
12am - 3am - back and forwards with solicitor on these documents as the emails were badly written so there was some misunderstanding
7:30am - Check Barclays portal and funds have been released for completion

ok scary moment: I found a missed call a few minutes ago (don't know how I missed it!) and a voicemail from my solicitor. She never called me before. The voicemail said "I just thought maybe we should have a word about it. please call me back" which sounds threatening and terrifying! I called back immediately after listening the message, and she hasn't answered. I'll try again in a bit, but why would she call me? Why would she sound so threatening? I haven't even stalked her yet today! What could it be? My mind (and heart) is racing!Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:
