Oh it gets better people!
Solicitor just rang my boyfriend asking for authority to exchange - we both individually sent it in writing (email) as requested, 3 days ago! AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!
Anyway, she then rang me and said that she is ready to exchange on my sale now, and should we go ahead. I've said yes. I don't live there, and if it sold and my boyfriend's didn't or didn't on time, it wouldn't matter. So at least we will be a third of the way there, and hopefully it should make aligning just my boyfriend's sale and our purchase together a little less complex. Apparently we are now waiting on my boyfriend's buyers getting confirmation of the funds being released - their solicitor has been so slow throughout, so I hope they are pulling their finger out now. She said we are still hoping for all exchanges to take place today and if not then by tomorrow. I really hope so. I can't take any more!6 -

Oh @Natbag, I really hope today's the day! It all happens so quickly.
My update.... Chasing solicitor for completion statement. Despite exchanging, I still feel immensely stressed with how last minute the final paperwork all is. As much as they are reassuring me, I'm not feeling reassured!1 -
Phoned the bank this morning - solicitor sent an amended certificate of title back, funds are all good to go for completion on the 2nd June. EXCEPT - i'm still waiting for her to send me the amended completion statement so I can pay my deposit / fees. I called her earlier and she says there is a message from natwest on the portal but she hasn't had time to read it - the bank confirmed to me that this is just a confirmation that they recieved everything and funds are ready. So she just has to email me one thing and i can send her my money and we can exchange tomorrow as planned.
But it's nearly midday and i'm still waiting... this would have taken her mere minutes as she told me she had done the statement to send me in advance!
MY GOD WOMAN I GAVE BIRTH QUICKER THAN THIS2 -
