My solicitor doesn't reply to emails and rarely answers her direct phone, or calls you back if you leave a message. On the rare occasion she does email back, she doesn't actually answer the question you asked. It's so frustrating. I've asked her to call before 4pm, as I'm on a work call again then, but I seriously doubt she will. Fast running out of days now, and at the rate my solicitor and the others in the chain work, I can't see us getting this thing over the line in time.  :s
Same. Just spoke to my solicitor (who's fab) and he said he really can't see us exchanging in time for completion next Friday.... My other half starts his job on 7th so he'll have to move up early and sofa surf... Not ideal!!!
Oh no, have they said why? There are 5 working days this week and 4 next week, that should be enough time if everyone is ready to go - I hope so! If we can't make it now and my solicitor has sat on this for almost two weeks without any progress I am going to go absolutely crazy.
He just said he thinks the bottom won't and I quote 'have their s**t together in time' 😂 they haven't commented on any of the dates suggested, and I think they'll be still want 2 weeks from exchange and completion.
Ah ok, that would be funny if it wasn't something so big/important. Sigh! We are ready, and our buyers and vendor are all ready, we have been for a while due to the hold up on the other side of the chain, so if I find out now that there's anything outstanding I'm going to lose it!
We were all ready until the bottom decided they needed a damp survey last minute 🤦‍♀️

Phoned my solicitor, got the receptionist/assistant. She tells me she needs to pull the files and will call me back this afternoon. I won't hold my breath. What does it take for to get to the top of her priority list?! Aaarrrrgggghhhh.
hopefully once she pulls the files up it'll be good news for you! fingers crossed you hear back from her soon

Absolutely, I have to agree that this is one of the most challenging task I've ever undertaken, the most problamatic thing is that there are so many parameters that are out of our control and many issues which I havent seen / heard before and on top if this time is running out. I'm too patiently waiting to agree an Exchange/Completion date - our all queries have been sorted, just that I'm in a chain and our seller's purchase queries are still ongoing.
  • All of our chain is ready to go. The end of chain has said they will now move into rented. But the EA have just rang to say they are sending the memo of sale out today!! The offer on the last house in the chain was made 8 weeks ago. This means they haven't even started their conveyancing and we need to move by the end of June, which is most probably not going to happen! Which also means we may have to pull out and not move wahhh. It is so frustrating, we were happy to pay stamp duty but unfortunately our car died which meant we had to use more of our savings than we wanted to

So seeking some advice here, i bit the bullet and asked the buyers agents if they hoped to complete by end of june like us,(just need to know we are on the same page) i have never talked about completetion before as i worry about jinxing it and things going wrong. But now searches have come back and we have received enquiries etc :# , am i being pushy? or over optimistic here?  sigh  waiting to hear what they come back with

Update from us as our chain above last week fell apart (again) ...we have offered up some cash for the top of the chain to vacate. They are considering it as nothing on market in the area they want to buy. Keep fingers crossed guys for us. Another anxious wait has started 🤞🏻🤞🏻
