The NEW waiting to exchange thread...

I spoke to my conveyancer this morning. All enquires are back and we are happy with them. They have amended the mistakes on the documents and emailed new copies for us to print and sign. And best of all, the sellers have asked us to suggest a completion date as their purchase is ready to go.
Apparently our lender (NatWest) wants a week between exchange and completion. To allow some contingency I'm thinking of suggesting 29th April.
This is all getting exciting now!2 -

@amyr - that's so frustrating. Are they not able to exchange and complete while abroad? People do sell properties without stepping foot in the country, it just takes longer.
@Wren14 - yes, the wait is really getting to me. Combined with working from home, not having enough space and lockdown, there just isn't much else to focus on and it's affecting me too. Sounds like you have some positive progress there though!
@Sam2030 - same here, 1 outstanding enquiry still on property 6 (of a double chain of 3). Been ready to go for 3 weeks with no progress, so really hoping for some good news tomorrow.
@hopeitwill that's so annoying, there just seems to be delays at every possible turn doesn't there? Hope it gets sorted. Try calling them and letting them know it's legit? Can't hurt.0 -

If we are exchanging and completing on the 23rd is there any major detriment to sending the solicitors our money today?I would rather just get it over with and out of my account so I can relax
It’s not like I’m missing out on a great deal of interest for the next week & I know if anything were to go sideways i would get the money back as we haven’t exchanged...0 -
