Morning all

Today's list:
HG berries with breakfast again
Load of washing done, out on line, hope it doesn't rain
Made spinach and feta filo pie using spinach from the garden, for lunches
Made scones to go with lovely HM raspberry jam from cupboard
Done some business paperwork
Helped OH make room in the camper van for some stuff for a car boot sale for a community group he is involved with. We will both go along tomorrow to sell stuff that has been donated to them for fundraising. Taking the camper because it is much scruffier than the car, to load old tools and junk into - also because we can make a cup of tea
Still to do:
Some cleaning, though DD and GD are on their way over, so this might not get done
A big pan of French beans to freeze
Pick and freeze rhubarb
Pick anything else that is ready in the garden
Water anything that needs it - the rain tends not to be enough for things in pots, unfortunately - and I have lots of pots :eek:0 -
Afternoon all :hello:
Dawn, I'm so sorry to read about yours and dh troubles at the moment. Hope the pub lunch went some small way to making you feel better.
HK - hire a skip - it's life changing
I had a lovely day catching up with my friend yesterday. Busy but really nice - good long chats with her and a leisurely pub lunch, but I got absolutely nothing else done at all. So I've spent much of today getting them sorted. I got up and went out to meet bestie for a coffee first thing but since I got home I've hoovered through, done 2 loads of washing, washed the dishes, sorted out car tax, car insurance, house insurance, printed off documents for my trip to London tomorrow and written a list of things I need to pack. Loads of aggravating little bits but I feel much better now they're done.
I still need to arrange something for dinner tonight and maybe have a nap but otherwise doing pretty well.
Only minor aggravation is that I have lost a book I was reading. Had read about 300 pages with about 70 to go. I think it's gone in the skip.
Ah well. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Good Afternoon All,
The last few weeks have been busy, and the budget has reflected this. I thought I had over spend dreadfully but when I put in all had done it made sense, and I have got things like Panto tickets for later in the year, filled up the present stash for DD birthdays.
- Revisited the budget for this month.
- Purchased a Christmas gift for DD, this will be her main one, it had dropped in price on Amazon and I had some vouchers,a saving of £28 made.
- Surveyed like no tomorrow to try and boost the christmas pot.
- Had confirmation that I am likely to get a grant for DD school uniform which is a massive relief.
- Today we have, read the meters to ensure accurate billing
- Been to get some shed paint as it needs a going over.
- Pottered around, given the house a good clean.0 -

Afternoon all on this wet miserable day
Where has summer gone?
Today's I've managed to:
* put on one load of washing and hang to dry on the low cost heated dryer
* Hoovered all downstairs
* Called up EE, Sky and Vodafone to compare prices and discuss getting DS a new phone contract. He's currently with EE but they really messed me about so we decided to go with Sky as they gave us the handset completely free and rolling unused data so in 12 months I can reduce the monthly cost again
* Popped to Dunelm but didn't buy anything. Was looking for a rug for the living room but not sold on the colour
* All meals from home
* £2 into the savings jar
* Prosecco in the fridge for tonight - not had a drink since last weekend so need one
I'm off to light some candles and put some fairy lights on make the living room look all warm and snuggly. That's the plus side of wet/dark evenings
Have a lovely Saturday evening all!0 -
Really pleased with my make up and brushes
got lash curler and mascara that was in the newsletter. Got them with magazines for £6.50.
Got a set of eye brushes and and foundation blender bullet thing for £11 & it was buy one get one free so got an extra bullet and put it aside for a small gift for dd for Xmas
Then got a lipstick, liner and single eyeshadow colour for £6.50 and asked if they had any perfume sample and she gave me three one of which is my favourite
eta OMG the makeup section is shops is unreal! Far too too much, I had such trouble trying to find just 1 eye shadow colour instead of a whole pallet. Urgh when did that happen?!
Picked up 2 boxes dishwasher tabs in lidl on their weekend offers :money:DF as at 30/12/16

CCL I could do with a skip! My grand effort last night with sorting out the spare room comprised of me tipping out a drawer onto the bed, putting the drawer ready for the tip run and slowly sorting out the bits from the drawer-very snail pace!!
Managed to get some ironing done so only have 2 small mount ironing everests now. If I kept on top of it, it would help alot.
Managed to get the bathroom cleaned aswell but not the kitchen floor washed.
NSD today, really pleased.
DD has sports training tomorrow, so have packed up the last of a pasta dish, added some chopped potatoes. I will do a flask aswell, all bits will be brought from home to save eating on the road and spending.
Have a good evening everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The chilli was cooked for dinner tonight and I've frozen four more portions that are about the right size to top a jacket potato or some nachos.
I've listed one thing on eBay and I'm just about to do the other (honest
)
I've done my sums for the month and paid everything I have spare off of my CC which was only half what I paid off last month but I lost a week in this pay packet. It will of course run up again as I use it during the month but hopefully by less and less each month and at least I am avoiding interest and gaining points I suppose.
I have just had a letter confirming that I had PPI :T I am going to use the company to get it for me even though I will lose 30% because I've not done it so far myself and I never will so 70% of something is better than 100% of nothing.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Morning
I'm clearly going through an image phase! Have spent the last 1/2 hour looking at DIY tutorials for cutting curly hair (so that's quite a bit :money: and also a little
on the vanity front)
Today we are going to a country park for a picnic with my db and sil. Online reviews are the little cafe on site has a very reasonable cafe with lovely cake so think we'll probably stump for a visit towards the end of the day
other than that the only cost is £1.50 parking :money:
make picnic items
Weather is set to be ok with a little shower at lunchtime so will risk putting the washing out. Twins you're right it does look like the summer proper has ended
hope we do have a better August
Might get the chance to go to the allotment later on. I counted 34 squashes on my plants yesterday and they are still producing
:money:
cook hg beetroot salad - using hg toms
marinade chicken so I can bung the dish in the oven when we get in. All hg sides/veg with dinner :money:
get madam's bag etc ready for tomorrow
read book this evening
Ok that'll do. Happy sunday xDF as at 30/12/16

frugal wins
our picnic has been called off due to rain forecast. My db suggested going out for a roast. I counter suggested they come here and I'd do roast. Nipped to SM and got a joint of beef, some horseradish. So would have conseratively cost £40-50 (just for the 3 of us) to go for a roast and instead it has cost £9 for 5 :money: DF as at 30/12/16
