Morning :) whoop it's Friday! Another training day. Yesterday was really good and helpful so looking forward to today. Just need to do a couple of tasks before/afterwards

As working in town will go to the £shop to see if they have felt for paper mache project. If not call into the r@nge on my way home

Think I'll pop to the allotment after work as weather doesn't look great for tomorrow...

return a dress to TKM4X on way home

portion of courgette soup out of freezer for lunch

checked banking and did some money shuffling. So great to have piggies! I was able to buy my car tax for the year saving £15 and it having no impact on my day to day account. Even though I've done piggy banking for years now it never fails to give me a sense of satisfaction!

CM is taking madam out for lunch so no need for a pack up :j

bottle of wine from stores and maybe games this evening with oh

continue checking for ripeness and picking damsons from neighbour's tree over hanging our garden to make jam and flavoured gin. Currantly freezing as I'm picking ;)

    water greenhouse veg

Think that's all of my efforts today! Happy Friday guys

Morning determined and all who follow :hello:

My list will be short as we'll be spending most of the day travelling to a wedding we're going to tomorrow. But before we go:

Make packed lunch to eat on the go
Take drinks for journey and tomorrow, including refillable bottle
Take snacks for girls for tomorrow and Sunday
    Pain toe nails
Make sure nothing needs freezing before go
Pop to supermarket as didn't get cat food yesterday
    Check banking and surveys
    Quick vacuum round

Right, drinking coffee and then must get on.

    Good morning everyone
After not being able to get any tidying done on Wednesday, yesterday morning was a quick dash round ready for DB coming over. I then had a meeting yesterday afternoon so planned some paperwork after tea, but by 8pm I was crashed out, so even though today was an easy day planned, I still need to complete the paperwork:(

FVD yep the top box is like one of the storage boxes you put on the top of the car, this one is huge and has been adapted so by using a control it opens up, a bit comes down that I hook through the wheelchair seat and then it pulls the wheelchair up with another bit that is underneath that then slides the wheelchair in. It's a seriously great bit of kit, but so simple in design, We've just got to be careful of height restrictions and no going through the drive through at Maccies for DD:rotfl::rotfl:
But it keeps pain clinic and another specialist happy and my DD who has to stay on a high calorie diet to keep weight on, its better than her trying to lift the chair into the car as she really struggles.
Need to spend a small amount of money this morning but only on cat litter, and cat food tins.the fussy little so and so's have decided they prefer a different cheaper brand and then I will switch back to Tesc@s own again.
    No other spends planned.
Also need to do a month end on spends ready for August-i can't believe how quick this year is flying
Right off to do cat cleaning,
Have a good day everyone x

Fantastic, HappyKitties, it sounds like a Trasformer :D

It is payday today, yippee! I've had a little look online as I was off for a week last month so it's less than usual but still doable.

I'm bringing in all food from home again today but there are leaving drinks tonight for someone that is too nice for their own good and has been sh@t on from on high.

Tonight I will transfer as much as I can to pay off my CC even though that means I will need to use it during the month but at least this way I can avoid interest and get points.

Talking of which, I am going to use them to pay for mybig shop again, I don't need any days or meals out and I found it really useful last month.

Must remember to pick up some garlic on my way home, mine is sprouting and I want to to be fresh for my aubergine pickle.

    Have a good day all!

    Morning all :hello: :coffee:
So today is day 1 of relax and enjoy. I have a friend coming to visit so looking forward to that. I'm just busy putting a list of jobs together to keep me on the straight and narrow - I do like a good list, and I've been so busy that I have left all the little annoying bits that need to be done before I go to London...
    So I need to:
Sort out car and house insurance
    Get car tax
Stay on top of my emails
    Check banking
    Relax
    Crochet :D

Hello I used to post on here occasionally I think some years ago. I thought I would like to post today as I did three things that were unusual for me this morning - only tiny things but I suppose it's more about a change of attitude! I parked for free and had a little walk instead of using a car park that would have cost me 70p, I bought milk at Aldi instead of Sainsbury's and I didn't buy a carrier bag! Has made me smile, cheers all, have a lovely Friday x

Bit of a wasted couple of days here - yesterday I had to drive OH to the eye clinic at the hospital in a nearby city as he had an urgent referral by the optician. He had laser treatment to a small tear in his retina, and seems fine now. Today, I was unexpectedly recalled for yet another blood test at another hospital in another city :( the only bonus being that it was at least done quickly. We decided to cheer ourselves up by having a pub lunch, which we hardly ever do.... and as always, we could have done as well at home for a fraction of the cost

Anyway, waste of time or not, we have certainly seen the value of the NHS over the last few weeks and months, which we very rarely bothered till recently :o OH has to return to the eye clinic next week for a check up, and we will go armed with a huge box of chocolates for the staff, who were lovely :A

Apart from all this melodrama, I have:
HG blueberries and yellow raspberries (the yellow ones seem to be ready first) with breakfast :)
Received remaining months' vehicle tax back from the DVLA, for the 2 vehicles we traded in recently :)
Had a couple of small payouts from Prolific :)
Picked spinach, French beans, tomatoes, courgettes and a cucumber which will be put to good use over the next couple of days :)
A bit of watering in the garden, just the French beans and courgettes in big pots, as it has been fairly rainy for the last couple of days

Looking forward to a peaceful weekend, maybe a cook up session like last weekend :)
  • Morning :) yippee no work now for 5 days _party_

not sure what the plans are for today yet but at some point oh will be going to my friend's house and take down the gym a bit more so it can fit in a car (rather than paying £30 to get it collected :money:)

going to go to the allotment for an hour or 2 :D

    pick any produce ready :D

chicken drumsticks out of freezer for oh & madam's tea

    washing on line

Arggggghhhhhhhh must make this weekend my ebay weekend!

work out what we want for our picnic tomorrow and make/get what's wanted. While passing return the dress ;)

I want to get some new make up & brushes so looking at where's the best deal ;)

That'll do! Happy days guys

    Morning everyone

Have decided I hate DIY......its costly even when you buy things bit by bit it just seems never ending. At some point myself and DD will need to do a tip run.
A friend had asked if we were going to do Prague again for the Christmas markets. Originally DD and myself were going to go somewhere else but with the DIY, it was going to have to be one or the other and with my friend asking about Prague which we found really cheap last year and thoroughly enjoyed, plus i had been monitoring flight prices(£22 to come back from Prague), we booked this morning as prices had come down again, so saved on flight price and we went halves on booking fee.
No luxury spending in August, need to really stick to budgets as i have blown the July grocery budget by quite abit. But freezer is fully stocked and I have a really good supply of cat food sachets in that I bought when on a special that should last through August, so there is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't stick to planned August grocery target.
It's a good job I post on the the board, I would have gone really AWOL with my monies by now.
Today......a day of ironing and want to get the kitchen floor washed.
I do not plan to go out, so won't be tempted to spend any money.
I might whip up some banana pancakes in a bit to use up some bananas that are looking past their best. In fact might do extra to have supplies in the freezer.
Have a great day everyone x

Morning all, I am completely knackered after a week of getting up early to drive DS to work before going to work myself. My mum is peed off with me as she wanted me to do a completely unnecessary trip with her that she insisted be done today (even though it could be done over the phone) and gor humpy when I rang up to put it off until tomorrow as I needed some sleep. She can be so selfish sometimes.

I have to get to the PO before 1pm to pick up DS's bike lock so he can get himself to work from now on :) I went to the wrong PO but now I know which one it is I can go on Monday morning after dropping him.

We're going to drop into Tesco to do a biggish shop, he wants to come with me as I think he gets bored with me buying the same things all the time but I've told him that if there are two things and one is on offer and one isn't there will be no arguing :DDS opted not to come in the end which probably saved me a small fortune!

I need to print off my clubcard coupons to reduce the bill if the new ones have gone on yet. The new ones haven't been added yet, maybe next time

My house is really messy but, like one of those puzzles where you have to move one bit to be able to move another, I'm going to start with the car :D it needs sweeping out and then I want to move the crash mats (currently in the sitting room) to the back, I need to work out how to fully flip up the seats first though. I have no idea where I will find the time to go anywhere in my makeshift camper van (as all my time seems to be spent going to work and doing housework) but I love the idea of waking up next to the sea :)The crash mats fit absolutely perfectly both length ways and width ways (the back has three seats, a double and a single and I have only flipped up the double, the single can still be used as a seat or as my bedside table :D

I'm planning to do some batch cooking today or tomorrow, it's been brilliant this month just on the few occasions where I've just been able to stick a bag in the microwave instead of phoning for a takeaway :Di bought a big pack of minced beef which I'm going to divide and make spag Bol with one half and chilli with the other. I also got enough salami and mascarpone to do a double batch of our favourite courgette pasta. Lunch was wraps filled with chicken strips cooked in Levl Roots BBQ sauce which was on offer the other week. I have frozen half of the meat in the marinade and also the leftover wraps.

I have a couple of things to put up on eBay that don't require photographing by me so no excuse not to do that! Of course I haven't done this yet!

    Have a good day all!
