Morning everyone!
Sorry, been dipping in and out of here as I have been in my purse lately
Need to get back on track pronto so I need to keep myself accountable.
I've got £15 left in the bank until payday which is Thursday so that should be fun! Did my own nails last night as can't afford to get them done!
Today's tasks:
* Taking left over butternut squash, quinoa chilli to work for lunch today. Along with a snack and water bottle from home so no need to buy anything
* All meals from home
* Will complete some Swag surveys later when home
* Washing on and hang outside as it looks like a nice day
* Workout later on when I'm back home from work
* Off the alcohol right now and trying to just eat healthy
That's all for now. I'll try and be back later to read up on what everyones been up to. Hope all is well in your world

Morning all

DS has been safely deposited to work for second day, he can't use his bike yet as the bike lock hasn't arrived.
As I missed the YS run last night I've just popped in to buy a couple of sausage rolls and some crisps, also another box of soups for breakfasts.
I found my other Z@pper cheque so I will go to pay those in at lunchtime, I will also get some change to give DS money for lunches until he is paid, by not being prepared I keep ending up giving him notes which I can I'll afford to do.
I'm going to send a follow up email to the woman who interviewed me yesterday to keep me fresh in her mind
I've had tons of ideas for cards they could do though that's a very small part of the job.
We're still not busy at work, there's a bit of a jam in the workflow system, there will be a deluge soon!
Have a good day all
Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Morning all

Hope you can distract your GD from wanting to go to the soft play place DNMS, as it will be mega busy now the school hols have started.
Nice here today, so I have stripped the bed and have the linen just finishing their cycle in the washing machine. Next I am going to try to wash some rather grotty pillows that I had earmarked for the bin. While shoving them in the bin bag I noticed they had a washing instructions label. Never had much luck with washing pillows before, as they have always gone lumpy, but I will try to keep them out of landfill
They seem ok, one already dry
Needless to say all of these items will be dried outside, and finished off on the airer if need be.
Apart from that:
Home grown blueberries with breakfast this morning
Dog walk #1 He was naughty this morning, and kept refusing to walk (he actually lays down on the pavement
). So I had to keep picking him up. There is no reason for this behaviour, except that he likes to choose which direction we go in - but he is very small and good at looking like a RSPCA case if I don't comply:rotfl:
Need to do a shop today - OH has the car, so unless I want to take the camper van to Sainsburys it will need to wait till this afternoon
Done, I didn't take the camper van to the supermarket, as I hadn't driven it before, it is vastly bigger than my dear old Corsa, and the mini roundabout and snarl ups in the town centre are a bit of a nightmare  BUT I did take it for a nice longish drive to get used to it, so won'tworry about it another time
Haven't driven the new car yet though!
Meals from stores, still eating the stuff I cooked up over the weekend. Quiche for lunch and pesto pasta for dinner today
Not actually hungry yet, it is really hot again here today
Check banks - there is about £200 refund on car insurance to come back from all my phone calls yesterday
Still need to do this
Any surveys that are available - did a £6 one for Prolific last night
Done, claimed £6 from Prolific, and a £10 Amazon voucher from Pinecone
Some cleaning, might wipe down the kitchen cupboards
Not done, as DD and little GD came round - maybe tomorrow!
Some gardening, trim back one of the mint pots, water and feed the French beans (and anything else that needs it, won't be much though due to all the rain we have had), pick anything that is ready
Not done the mint pot yet, but I did tackle the big climbing rose, which needed the developing rose hips cut off, normally I dead head it to keep it flowering, but couldn't keep this up while I was ill for a few weeks. Hope it will flower again now - there are a few buds coming
Did some watering, mainly using the water from GD's paddling pool which she wanted filled when she was here. Picked some tomatoes and French beans (plus a couple of yellow raspberries that GD ate
)
Another dog walk Done
Read electricity and gas meters and submitted readings to energy company's web site
It is a lovely morning - my beautiful (though a bit bashed) charity shop crystal candlesticks on the dining table are throwing rainbow patterns on the walls where the sun is shining through them

Afternoon all :hello: Smalls laid in until 8.15 this morning
which was a great start to the day. Other things:
Went to library, took some back, got some more. Got stage 2 of summer read thing, including a door hanger and fortune teller to make each
Went to DIY store for a couple of bits, one has been on my annoying thing list for ages
Check banking, surveys and FPL
Made quiche, haven't made it for ages, so wasn't my best but DH and eldest liked it. Made pastry too :T DH can have LO for lunch tomorrow
Used LO pastry to make 7 jam tarts
Made hobnobs whilst oven was on - will freeze some
Load of washing out on the line
WFH so saved £72 on childcare
late sunshine here, so might pop out and do half an hour in the garden soon.0 -
Hello Tuesday People,
Quite a useful day:
*Wrapped & posted ebay sale & relisted remaining items.
*Onepoll surveys done & registered with Prolific Academic.
*Laundry done on cheap overnight tariff. Then saw tomorrow's weather forecast & did the remaining 2 loads. All dry on line for free.
*Fed sourdough jar ready for baking tomorrow.
*Leftover lamb & courgette bake tonight with homegrown french beans.
*Free fruit from 'help yourself' table on neighbouring street.
*Tomorrow's packed lunch made.
*Veggie garden & greenhouse watered.
*Weeded courgette, lettuce & bean beds & cut back hedge to allow more sunlught to reach them.
*Free coffees in Waitrose.
*Knitted a few rows of Christmas present.
*Rhubarb compote from freezer ready to do overnight oats.
Sitting out in sunshine with library book now. Grey chilly day has ended with a beautiful warm sunny evening.
Bye all,
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
Evening all :coffee:
I'm very late checking in today because I have spent the entire day decluttering the house and have completely filled the skip that arrived at 10am today. It's not a small skip either, a full builder size skip and it's full, and the house is not fully decluttered. The living room, loft and ds room are done. The kitchen, our room and dd room are partly done, but the skip is at its limit. I'm wondering whether or not to bite the bullet and hire another one to get the rest of the house completely cleared and then I can get on finding a cleaner. DD doesn't want me to though - she's concerned that I don't spend more £ on a skip again in case we can't have days out during the hols.
There's nothing else to report. We have spent literally the whole day bagging rubbish and putting it in the skip. I also dismantled ds old bed and that's in there. We just had tins on toast food wise and I'm just stopping for the night (and a bit worried about how much I might be aching in the morning as well). Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

I'm way too old and fat for this level of intense work that's for sure. I've just had a nice hot shower and am settling for the night now. More to do tomorrow - I need to take the car for its service, arrange to get the skip collected and get ds bedroom finished off. I had better lose weight this week.

Morning
I have been up since 4  Have nothing to show for it though
and have to be quiet until the rest of the house gets up!
I didn't get much of my list completed yesterday so today will be a continuation!
I've spent the last 45 minutes looking for local attractions/days out near us. We were planning to go camping with the outlaws in France in August but that's not going to work out now. We discussed going camping in UK but decided we will have a stayvacation. I'm thinking for the £140 we would have spent on the ferry alone will be more than enough for activities/petrol/entrances & even probably a few ice creams, picnics/lunches and a meal out if we're careful/inspired! :money: Have book marked a few activities to show oh
Things for today:
* [STRIKE]checked weather - going to be dry until after lunch so will get washing on line[/STRIKE]
*[STRIKE] all meals from stores - check meal plan. Might go off piste and grab pizza dough/sauce out of freezer to have a quick tea as working this afternoon[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]another layer of paper mache session with madam [/STRIKE]- we went for making a dog money bank and stayed out of the soft play yesterday
* [STRIKE][STRIKE]call bank and get them to unblock card so I can purchase car tax[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
* working 2-4. Might stay until 5 so I can do some admin/outstanding tasks
* do training pack for training tomorrow and Fri
* oh going to a quiz night
* make hummous and bake cake
* take photos of some things to list on fleabay/facebay
*[STRIKE] read martin's email[/STRIKE]
* wrapped and froze ys wraps into 2s
* wrote a small shopping list & did a bit of clearing up the larder
I have a moral dilemma. I had asked my manager if I could claim ot for attending clinical supervision today. The normal policy is you take it as time in lieu if you work outside your normal hours, and my mil has dgd. But this time originally the outlaws had planned to be going on holiday today so I would need to pay for childcare. Outlaws have changed their plans so now having madam. I don't know whether to let my manager know, we are a charity, or keep quiet and just claim the ot? In fairness I always work over my hours - it's not possible to do the job in the hours I have! - and can never claim it back, as always so much to do....
whoop whoop due to part time hours only have 7 working days between me and 2 weeks off :j
Anyway sorry for the ramble! Have a great day xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all :hello: hope you get some down time later determined that was an early start. As for the moral question, I'm not sure there is a right or wrong way to go. But if you think the situation may arise again, maybe better to go back and get it as time in lieu as you could have precedent that they have said yes to cash before but you've not used it iyswim. However, I do like extra cash to split between my pots
we don't get overtime or time in lieu at my place  I can't complain as I get well paid and don't have to answer to anyone in the hours I work and me being able to drop offs at school/nursery has saved me money over recent years but I also ave no way of earning extra which is annoying at times.
It's Wednesday :T am off Friday so only tomorrow to go work wise :T list for today will be short as it's a long day out in the office:
Hot drink for commute
Left over sausage plait and salad for lunch and homemade hobnob
Half an avocado in a smoothie for breakfast
Freeze some more bananas that have ripened in about 2 days and I won't be able to eat them all, or maybe make a cake later
Haggis that came free in a meat box for tea, must get out of freezer in a minute
Smalls at holiday club so will have (2nd:rotfl:) breakfast, lunch and tea there
No washing out as it's going to rain all day here, will see what it's like tomorrow and put a load on later
Put away yesterday's load that I got dry outside
Check banking, surveys and FPL.
Research travel cups, DH needs one and mine needs replacing.
Right, must get on. Enjoy your day. Purps.0
