    Morning all.

Pigpen Hope you find the correct dosage/tablet that will help your pain it's awful x

On the subject of paying someone to do the jobs we hate I say go for it! When I was working in a well paid but stressful job I paid for the ironing to be done and DS1 was paid for thoroughly cleaning the house once a week. Nowadays I am cash poor but time rich in the uni holidays so do it all myself, or not as the case maybe which is why I've joined in :rotfl:

I had an hour in the kitchen last night wiping down and cleaning old blind dog gibble from where he'd been licking the front of the food cupboard! The fridge has been cleaned this morning and table and chair legs wiped with glass cleaner so they're all sparkly. I'll post my list later on.

I now need to get showered and dressed seeing as I'm lazily still loafing around drinking coffee :D

I can't remember who it was but good vibes for the lady with a daughter at the hospital this morning :)

Ended up helping M-i-L do some decluttering - it was surprisingly enjoyable. Took a car load to the tip, had a lovely lunch and now we are at home. Kiddies having a snack then hopefully some quiet time is on the cards - they are both a bit grumpy today.

In my MAD half hour I cleaned out our black wheelie bin  it was emptied this morning, but when I pulled it back in I noticed there were still loads of carp stuck to the bottom. Marigolds on, stinky manky stuff pulled out and bagged up, bin bleached out then hosed. Happy with that :T

I have come to realise that the house badly needs some money spending on it. We are pretty much clutter-free, and it is all fairly clean and tidy most of the time. But there are things that are niggling me, such as lack of splashback in downstairs loo (had tiles for ages, just not sorted tiler), need to wallpaper feature wall in bedroom (CBA choosing paper there are waaaay to many to choose from), living room carpet needs professional clean etc etc. Think I will make a list and take it from there.

Afternoon lovelies :D Have just munched lunch and am waiting for it to go down before I finish what I was doing before lunch :D

FBO Well done on passing your first 3 topics on the Visual Basic Course.
Welcome back JoJo. Congratulations on decluttering lodger and for finding a lovely 'OH' Your idiot cat sounds just adorable although a pickle..:D Wow what a huge amount you've done on your lists- Can you send some of your energy to me please, especially as the cleaner isn't here this week.
Reading about your summer lists you've just reminded me Valli about my house list of things to do over the next 3 years so we can move - and now I can't find it anywhere :( Can't remember what was even on it..lol
My MAD consisted of sorting out my debt payments that I've been avoiding/burying. It's amazing what you can sort out online now..I've even managed to sort out a couple of payment plans this way. Now why was I so scared of dealing with this :D
How are you feeling at the moment Bossy? Hope you feel better soon.
Piggers my ninjacat used to sleep in my knicker drawer when he was a baby - not on top though more buried underneath. It must be something the best loved cats do :D
Green my neighbours are often seeing me in pj's in the garden hanging washing out. They have even seen me hang the washing out, in the heatwave, in my undies. :D
Kaz I had to laugh at your OH watching tv with the cat's playmate :D That did make me giggle :D:TWoohoo at your car passing it's MOT:T
How was the theatre last night LW, did you have a nice time ?
Dizzy did you say a 'friend' had eaten DH's card while your DH was on a night out. How on earth did DH explain that to the credit card company? And why didn't this friend eat his own card...?
ATB is it worth sending phones to Music Magpie? I have a couple here from when I've upgraded just collecting dust. If I can get a little bit for them then I shall declutter them from the cupboard :D
Welcome SunnyGirl to the thread :D

Well things have turned upside down here the past few days. We went to D's mum's at the weekend, even though he really wasn't up to it. I had to drive as there was no way D could in his condition. Unfortunately after something that happened that I will truthfully say wasn't my fault even though she still said I had done it. As you can imagine the fur flew.. I actually swore at her and let rip at her. Told her what I thought of her and how I had a lot to deal with and she didn't have the monopoloy on major stuff. It was at this point I told her that her son was on chemo drugs and was really really ill. And how we thought he was going to die sometime back and he still isnt' out of the woods due to his immunity being dead!! It was at this point that D told her we were going home and wouldn't be back until he was fully well enough. And that she should be grateful he was there at all then. Well she has certainly cooked her goose as they say. I won't be going to hers again..if she can't apologise to me then that's it. And the pup definately won't be going there again. And as D can't drive then he won't be there as he has to rely on me to drive at the moment. Wooo that was long winded...lol

D has had his medication increased from 5mg to 15mg of chemo drug. And he is off work this week as he is in no fit state to go up to London. So he is working from home with his bosses permission. Although with the increase in drug I doubt he will be working from home when that kicks in.

And then to top it all someone who was instrumental in my main care at my childrens home at a very pivotal point of my life, has passed away. I was also dealing with this when we went to D's mums and kept bursting into tears which probably didn't help matters. And then I am struggling with my own mental health issues... Blimey I think I'll just hibernate away now..lol

That'll be a Toots list then ATB; a flylady staple.
Dare I suggest that a downstairs loo splashback (unless it's hideously complicated with pipes etc) might be a possible DIY project? I'm sure AnW's mum, who was a regular a while back, tiled her own kitchen floor!

Have wiped down kitchen; just need to vacuum then mop floor. Yesterday I went to Dunelm and bought a large (ie high) step stool. So I have cleaned the windows without precariously teetering on a chair, which is slippy on the tiles. £9. Whey did I wait so long? And it fits snuggly in the 'utility' next to the TD under the worktop.

Got DD an intro to a local business because, in a former life, I knew the owner (like when I was at school; she was a teacher). DD drove over to see her. The job (waitressing) is hers if she wants it:T:T:T:T

Natty saw your post on FB; sending you my sincere condolences but I'm glad you had someone like that in your life. And those 'admin' jobs are the ones I put off and they are ALWAYS easier than I thought they would be!

    ETA

    Kitchen shiny
Bathroom S&S - after DS showered and shaved so a double bonus that I left it until this afternoon
Bin emptied; vacuum also emptied - black bin due to be emptied this week so need to make sure everything gets chucked that should be chucked.

    list completed!

any particular room requests for tomorrow?
