I'm wondering whether he's fallen asleep and they've just left him in the van. Or he got dropped off somewhere relatively nearby, caught the train and now is peacefully slumbering [strike]snoring his head off[/strike] heading for the coast again.
I'm hungry. The table, suitably reclaimed with a jam jar of flowers and some garden twine (go me, it's all hipster here) and a tealight, is waiting for my dinner. And his, of course. It's stuff that needs to be cooked and served fresh, so I can't very well make it in advance and leave him to stick it in the microwave. If nowt else, because I don't trust him not to get food splatters all over the inside again. And he'll probably decide halfway through microwaving it that's he's too tired and waste it.
Bleached the kitchen counter whilst waiting. It didn't need it. And did a load of washing, hanging it up on the clothes horse in front of the shower room door. We've got two bathrooms, it's better than blocking the entire kitchen with it like he does. And why is my hot water, usually very low pressure, now only coming out in a trickle?
And why has the Idiot Cat chosen Right Now to jump on the table when he has simply glared at it with suspicion through the bannisters since I put the oilcloth on?
I suspect I might be over hungry. As I'm vaguely irritated by everything but CBA to do anything about it, least of all cook without a good reason to. Is that a thing?
I have done 2 x wash loads and am putting them on a clothes horse in the spare room where they seem to be drying overnight at the moment. I do have a dryer but do not like using it in the summer!0 -
Had a bit of a mad afternoon and pulled out the Polti and tackled the flooring in hall and bathroom - embarrassed at the amount of dirt that was steamed off. Load from WM into TD and clothes all put away that were on the airier. Got a couple of overnights away this week (work not leisure
) and got myself organised for that. Won't be about to fly much next week, but I'm feeling so much better for what I've achieved this week :T Hope all having a fab Sunday x

My DS1 informs me that being 'hangry' which is a mixture of hungry and angry is indeed a thing

Haha my DS (8) gets hangry too lol. He deals with it by growling and snarling until I feed him:D
Have made a plan for this week...Bossymoo

And.... he's home.
Thinks the table looks great - he noticed it when practically running after me into the kitchen for a cuppa (YT here at all times - the foulness that is pyramid or sold by cartoon men in clothcaps is banned from the house - only Sains. Red Label gets through the door if YT isn't around).
But he wants a Chinese takeaway. Apparently, because he's been snacking rather than having proper meals, he 'doesn't want to waste proper food'.
He's cooking it tomorrow, then. And he's all hyper, has been since going onstage last night, so has trotted straight back out to go and get the takeaway, having checked all his post, emails and unpacked what he hasn't left in storage for next weekend's gigs within about five minutes flat, chattering all the time.
And the cats are still sulking because he's come in and pretty much gone straight back out again.
I am glad he's back, but he will have to shut up by midnight or I might have to thump him on the head if he keeps wibbling at me. Or just treat him like a kid after a party, where you ignore most of it with a 'Hmmm? Hmmm? Uh-huh. Mmmmm' until there's either tears or they just zonk out mid-sentence.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Evening all, thought I would put a post up before I start next week's list for you all
Well what can I say... It's been hell. Poor Dave is suffering so much with this chemo drug and he's now at home again next week, well working from home but at least he's not travelling in to London every day and catching gods knows what while his immune system is compromised. I don't think he'll be going into work for a while with the side effects he's having. I feel so helpless that I can't do anything for him. All I can do is make sure he is drinking enough fluids..and keeping warm. He's being very good about it but I can see this is getting to him now. We've had this condition since 3rd March of this year and we are into August this week. I was truly hoping he was going to be better by now. Or at least have things under control but it just gets worse time and time again. The consultant doesn't seem too worried about it all so we are assuming it's just a waiting game till the drug kicks in. I keep this thought in my head that it could be worse, at least he's alive.
My mental health has taken a battering over all this. I'm having to stay so strong but it is taking it's toll on me. Thank gods I have therapy once a week to vent...
