Morning all, and welcome Sunny
Glad to hear you've worn the LOs out, Dizzy. A gentle start to the morning makes such a difference to our ability to cope with the rest of the day.
Yesterday I finally dealt with another frog and finally planted the summer-flowering bulbs. Hopefully they will bloom next year! That has resulted in a medium-sized cardboard box being decluttered from the shelves in the back porch
The garden is tidy and quite colourful for the first time in 2 years(Last year, you may remember, I was laid up after a foot op, and DH didn't even manage to water the patio pots or mow the lawn
)
Last thing yesterday evening I edged the lawn - an opportunity for all the local mosquitoes to have a late-night snack. I was bitten all round my ankles, and for once was glad that I hadn't thrown away an old bottle of calamine lotion. Mind you, I can remember using one bottle of the stuff all through the first 10 years of my life, and I'm still here to tell the tale!
I have sorted Rosie's pet insurance (3 months free) and a vet appointment for her next vaccination (£10 off first consultation voucher) :money: and labelled a folder in the filing cabinet for her growing pile of paperwork.
I had intended to write a post last night but fell into bed instead. I had one of my "nearly migraines" so had spent half the afternoon dozing, and I'm still feeling tired this morning, so am hoping to have a relaxing but productive day today.
I have walked the dog three times a day for a week now, going a little bit further/faster each day, so am hoping the scales at SW will move in the right direction for me this morning
To counteract that, I need to make cakes for our fundraising events tomorrow and Thursday - DH will be running the garden railway, and the Old Wives will be serving refreshments.
And I'm going out to a strawberry tea at church this afternoon (I will avoid the cream). Rosie has also been invited because lots of people want to meet her, so I need to sort out the boot of my car and make it safe for her.
The paperwork pile also needs attention - preferably straight after weigh-in this morning.
I will leave cleaning as such until tomorrow morning, after this evening's baking marathon.
See you all later. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x0 -
Blow me Piggers - money can buy happiness, if used to pay someone to do chores - it's on the news.
These scientists could have just asked you!:T:T:T:T
There you go YLget someone in!
Just heard that on the radio and thought of pigpen.
Forgot to start my oven soaking last night so it's on my morning jobs list, I'm not cooking today as we are out with dd3 her fiance and his parents for a pre wedding meal get together at the venue.
Need to get started on the kitchen and wait for the delivery, Dh has unlocked the gate and cleared space on the drive.
Does anyone else have hive? I've had the email and need to set ours up before tomorrow.
Right better make a start I suppose
I hope everyone is as ll as can be and coping with what life is throwing at them.SPC~12 ot 124

Thanks ladies, how funny that it's on the news today! I think i will save up and pay someone.
YL - My mum does that all the time, I feel your frustration love. I get cross with her a lot. Practice saying NO in the mirror again - I do it a lot (DH laughs at me) but it does mean the word slips out a lot easier
A go-with-the-flow day here - we are going to MiLs for lunch, which will be nice. Tomorrow is already shaping up to be bonkers busy so must get ahead today. Got the doctors in an hour - to discuss contraceptives - with the kids in tow. DS seems to be running on hyper battery power today. I think that will enough proof for my doctor that I really don't want any more babies :rotfl:MFW

Morning.
Quick update before we dash out for a few hours. DH got back really late last night, and bathroom looks sorry for itself again this morning as he rushed to get out to work. Not sure why I bother sometimes. QHI done, clean washing returned to rightful owners. I did have a HH to put the bathroom to rights so that I could concentrate on the kitchen later, but that seems to have nearly disappeared by catching up with posts on here
House sounds like it's really coming on now, Dizzy :T.
Catch you later.0 -
Morning all- welcome Sunny
Going out with dog in a moment -I think she can read as she is ready!
Will start on kitchen as soon as I get back as it needs a bit of time spending on it.

Morning all. Washing done and pegged out (bedding number one) and as it's such a lovely day I'm going to strip the other bed and do that too.
Swept up in the garden which was a bit bitty after all the rain washed everything about.
Kitchen sink and drainer etc soaking in bleach, makes the sink nice and shiny.
Don't think I'm going anywhere today but DD2 is coming round to put something back up in our loft for us. I don't do ladders and DH has bad knees and tries to avoid it.0 -

A slightly belated welcome SunnyGirl.:hello:Cats tablet given...monster tried to bite me

The bit they don't have in this version....
How to give a dog a pill - wrap it in bacon! :rotfl:Does replacing one pain with another really have any benefit at all?? it seems counter intuitive to me.
I shall flutter in the kitchen at bit, as I am still cream crackered after being at the theatre last night. I have already washed my notorious red dress - the one that runs better than Usain Bolt; but I have no other washing today, so no chance of Mr LW putting it next to something whilst it's still wet.
MAD today needs to be some work on birthday/Yule cards. I also need to start thinking about next year's calendar, though I want to get a few more dog visits done before I decide on the monthly pictures (I use photos of my canine guests). If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
