    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
Evening all and welcome Sunny :hello:

    Dailies done
    Spanish lesson completed
Plastic and glass recycling sorted and sent with DH to centre
    Plants on balcony watered
Dusted top to bottom in bedroom, hall, kitchen and bathroom

    Words fail me Dizzy

FBO - was it you who mentioned using Duolingo ? I like that app. Which language are you learning ? If it's Spanish I can give you some more freebies that I've tried and liked.

Batch baking today so loads of prepping, cooking, batching and freezing. Decided that I'd better give the kitchen a good go after that so it's all sparkly now. This means I can give the bathroom it's turn tomorrow ;)

Sending gws vibes for the poorlies. Hugs, sticks and spoons for anyone needing some.

Hope you all have a super Tuesday

atb you can soak the shelves in the bath with some bio washing powder and hot water overnight, it works but be warned it does make your bath a bit grimy. OR you can just get some ridiculously strong makes your eyes water type cleaner and a tough pan scrubber. If you choose this option get the oven and shelves warm first, it tells you not to do it on the instructions but it really helps.

OR.. you spend the money on keeping someone in employment who will clean the whole thing in a couple of house and spend the time on yourself. ;)

I thought oven pride/mate stuff was rubbish.. barely touched the grease and took 4 or 5 applications to get it nowhere near clean.. Who has time for that? and soaking greasy stuff in the bath you then have to clean the bath, and if your are (like me!!) a wee bit messy, you may end up cleaning the whole bathroom too.

I truly think, sometimes it is better to spend a little money as an investment in you, your mental health and physical health.. I know the site is about money saving but sometimes sanity saving has to come first!

    ... that and I'm lazy!

My hip hurts so much I want it to drop off.. I am even considering taking the drugs which really distress my sensitive tum.. Does replacing one pain with another really have any benefit at all?? it seems counter intuitive to me.

Mine too :( - although managed to persuade DS3 to stay in bed until just gone 6.30 :)

Ran cleaning cycle on wm yesterday (has a flashing light on it to tell me to do it!) Have stripped my bed and it is in wm. Sat here with a cuppa, easing myself into the day...

Good morning ladies. Warm welcome to Sunny

Yeasterday, the kitchen floor in the house hot acid cleaned, rinsed, neutralised and dried ready for sealing tonight. The last bits of plastering and pointing were done yesterday by the builders, who will be off site until after the kitchen is installed next week.:T

Need to speak with my plumber today about the dishwasher connection, what water system we have (bit confused as there's a thermal store for hot water but mains pressure cold) arrange for the oil-fired boiler to be installed, the underfloor heating to be connected and for the shower room to be all plumbed up.

Oh, and clean and seal the slate hearth in the lounge.

    All after tea in bed...

Chidlers are still asleep! Unheard of :j

Piggers is quite right - sometimes you have to save your sanity Yorkshire Lass. And life should have quality too.

Fell asleep. Woke up. Drunk cold coffee. Off out shortly on errand.

Another admin type job ticked off last night. Woot!

    Hi all

    Wise words Pigpen.

Plan for today. Out at both jobs, need to reorganise a hospital appointment for my father and ring up about DS1s car insurance. Kitchen floor needs a wash and the fridge needs a sort and a good scrub out. Really want to get to the cycling club tonight if I can fit it in.

Meatballs in slow cooker for tea. Best get ready for work!

Blow me Piggers - money can buy happiness, if used to pay someone to do chores - it's on the news.
