Thank you for all the welcomes.

I'm another who is voting for the kitchen tomorrow. I wiped all the cupboard fronts last night and the worktops but need to spend a bit longer in it really.

I've dusted and vacced upstairs and downstairs today as is usual on a Monday for me so am looking forward to getting into all the nooks and crannies during the week

For those of you with little ones at home in the holidays you have my sympathy as it's hard work, can cost a fortune, messes the house up no end and you're like a short order cook providing drinks, snacks, meals etc :rotfl:My 3 are now aged 25, 23 and 19 so I'm at the other side of it all but make the most of it too it only seems like a couple of years ago that mine were still calling me Mummy and enchanted by things other than a bottle of prosecco and a night out in the Northern Quarter :D

The washing dried really well today and that's all folded and put away. Had an hour sit-down when we got home then I did the bedrooms. I stripped the bed this morning so it is ready to get in the machine early tomorrow while the weather is supposed to be OK but I went back up and dusted and polished and vacuumed.

So tomorrow I can be lazy? I am anyway!

    I'm here.

I'm enjoying the last days before school's out. Popped into the city to buy some new bras. Got 2 for £11. I returned one that was too large (unworn) and had a free one due to a loyalty offer.

Took ds1 to his gf's, then dropped both of them back into the city.

Visited Mr S for fruit then helped friend with some paperwork

    Ground floor vacuumed
    Bathroom sparkled
    2xwm done

    Evening all.
    Welcome Sunnygirl! :hello:
Dizzy - words fail me!

My vote is also for the kitchen tomorrow. Mine certainly needs the attention.

So today I had a whole day at work, but have managed to do a few things off the list. Towels washed and hung hopefully outside. Now back indoors, not a lot drier! Shower cleaned, downstairs loo bleached and cleaned. I randomly cleaned the landing window.....not really sure why, but if that can go on the list later in the week I will be ahead for once :D

My MAD was to get going on my tax return, but I've now got a splitting headache so have given up for this evening. I also didn't get a very good night's sleep, so hoping for better tonight. Off to the hospital with DD for a check up in the morning, so any posivibes would be much appreciated.

    Good night x

Dizzy your toddler bathroom incident is a little like me cleaning the kitchen so its all sparkly at 9.30pm then the 18 year old realising that he forgot to eat tea so starting to cook. He is in there now rattling about. I might not be responsible for my actions.

    Hi Sunny, great user name!

atb you can soak the shelves in the bath with some bio washing powder and hot water overnight, it works but be warned it does make your bath a bit grimy. OR you can just get some ridiculously strong makes your eyes water type cleaner and a tough pan scrubber. If you choose this option get the oven and shelves warm first, it tells you not to do it on the instructions but it really helps.

So for me its been work, gym, work, tea, work, discussion about finances with DS1, then kitchen cleaning. And now to bed. I did get the bathroom done this morning.

Oh and I got a bit cross with my Mum. Feel bad but I have a lot on my plate at the minute and I ended up agreeing to sort something out for her which she really could have done herself. Sigh.

    Night all!

    Welcome Sunny
Yoohoo, tax return done :j after a frustrating 45mins of trying to log into the uni system to retrieve a P60 which I thought I already had, I managed to do the rest in just under an hour. Helps having had to submit my last 2yrs accounts in order to apply for the s/e bit of the uni job.
    Went to clubbercise.
    Saw one private student.
    Answered 2 potential client enquiries.
Took 2 old conservatory chairs and a bag of clothes to the charity shop.
Got wood for something Mr N is making for new conservatory arrangement which judging by the banging and sawing for the rest of the day, he has started making.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
