Please, please take it easy and rest till you feel properly better.

Your body needs to rest and recharge and recuperate and you need to work with your body and not override it.

Kittie, if you like gardening but find your allotment too much, can you not have a little veg / fruit patch in your garden at home? My garden is small, but I enjoy growing some crops in a couple of raised beds and some big pots :)

I wanted it gone elona, wanted it gone as soon as and can now see that big empty space, that will enable me to completely sort out the `blockage in the outbuilding. They could not come for two weeks. That sorting will take me a week but by the end, I will be taking only what I potentially need, to what is likely to be a smaller property. This will boil everything down to essentials, so I will have plenty of room for my workshop stuff, which contains my `new` hobby going forward

Dawn, I don`t have the new property yet, am waiting for one to come up for sale. until then I will carry on with the allotment. I also have in my mind going from one large tall upright fridge plus the matching tall upright freezer with a small chest freezer overflow, to what I used to have 9 years ago ie a tall fridge freezer but keeping the overflow freezer. All this potential moving malarky, it does take a lot of forward planning and I am glad I am thinking this through now. Not a job I would want to do in five years

Maybe, just maybe, it was `unsticking ` some house flow last week, that has enabled this unsticking in the outbuilding, who knows

I feel great healthwise this morning, had over 8 hours uninterrupted sleep, I had been waking at 1.30 which is the liver time, obviously better now

    A couple of tiny wins.

Two thin chiffony scarves that were gifts have gone to the cs bag (just not the type of thing that I wear)

One book about beers (OH rarely drinks. I like beers but am trying to cut my drinking down a lot)

Some random bits of paper into the recycling

Now I need to sort out the collection of clutter from my in-laws' house that I have at the back of my dining room. I can't settle in my house at the moment and I think this is what is causing the problem. I need to get it all onto ebay and FB market and get it GONE.
The stuff is all tools from f-I-l's shed that we have agreed to sell on his behalf. I remarked last night to m-I-l that I was itching to get them gone. She offered to store them in the shed for us. :rotfl:

  • 90 miles round trip and I was back by lunchtime, craving salted crisps, which I have not eaten for at least 2 years. Obviously I needed the salt and while in the supermarket, bought a ready salad and some turkey slices and small while loaf. Not stuff I normally buy but I am not heading straight into my normal food, until tomorrow.

KM is very much in my mind now, I have all that packaged rice, and all sorts of lentils, which I packed safe in thick vac sealed bags. Useless of course for food banks. Quite a weight too and suddenly I thought, birds who are trying to fatten themselves for winter, and we have already had small murmurations of starlings, settling in the back field. They will have a feast for a few days. I had to scatter everything as I don`t have any feeders any more

Tomorrow is going to be interesting as I will get out of bed with a very fixed purpose to my day. Far end of outbuilding will be used for box storage ie completely ready to move, so I am going to be very strict with myself and more than dozens of plastic boxes will leave tomorrow as will unusual packs of foods, unsuitable for giving away or for one

In fact, you know me, I am going there right now and will sort three larger boxes, ready to stack and take. I always like to end the day having achieved something positive, not like the endless lack-lustre few days just gone, when I never really got tired for night, only tired during the day

Can you kondo some of that energy my way, kittie?

I checked dds' colouring pens and have thrown away about 7.

When I was putting some ironed shirts away today (thank you, dh), I thought of something that I hadn't seen mentioned on this thread: I have as many clothes hangers as I have clothes to hang up. This also means that I will only buy something new/new-to-me when one of the items no longer needs a hanger (worn out, torn, degraded to homewear-only). I've seen the 1-in-1-out or 2-out policy mentioned, but not the 1-out-1-in policy :)

My house is a tip, I've got a horrendous cold and had to work outside for several hours last week which didn't help. OH has been doing all the food prep and cooking this weekend as I don't have the energy and don't want to pass it on to him. We've been sleeping in separate rooms, my coughing has been horrible. Bored with it now, want it gone.

Won't be much fun trying to work on the phone tomorrow, I don't know what my customers will make of me croaking down the phone at them. Can't put it off as I've a deadline to work towards and nobody to delegate to. The joys of running my own business.

good idea about the hangers siebrie, I have more hangers than clothes but they are the fuzzy ones and take up less room. I remember getting rid of all sorts of hangers in the past. My clothes need to be KMd but I am waiting until spring. It is so tempting to buy some tops now but I am making do with two layers instead, generally a long sleeved cotton polo top with a 2/3 sleeve cotton sweatshirt, not the classiest outfits but so what, I don`t aim to impress anyone these days

Good progress earlier and first thing tomorrow I will condense two large boxes of electricals into one, including sending to MK, a multi meter and leisure battery charger and lots of fuses etc, all from when I built the solar lighting in the outbuilding. Its a solid as rock but I will have to explain to any buyer that it is not included as such as I have no certificate, however I will leave it all and only disconnect the live wire to the battery. Its up to them after that.

cs trip tomorrow plus the tip. Loads of plastic boxes for cs, already packed this evening. I am getting hard hearted doing this, it is difficult but thats life

Ah slinky got to listen to your body, I always find it amazing that body energy can be zapped so quickly. Hope you feel better soon
  • everything, a lot, for today has gone and people were delighted, especially the man who had my big bag of electrical stuff, lower paid worker at the tip and his happiness was infectious but I feel strangely flat. Until I remember how I was sucked in by qvc splurging, over 12 years ago, when life was one busy whirl, cook, clean, work, bed and so I made myself stay up to watch that programme, like it was entertainment and that is when the lock n lock obsession started. Having said that they have been so useful and are still in super condition for whoever owns them next

Now my flatness is being caused by making the right decisions about which sizes will be most useful and these days it is about storage rather than packed lunches. Having a break now and then is useful, it enables clarity of thought

Another box (only photocopier paper size but still) and a bag of rags ready to go. Had more stuff leave via the bay of e, some more stuff listed and ready to list.

Focusing on trying to wear a couple of things out instead of rotating and wearing everything equally otherwise I will never get some categories of clothes down to reasonable level, tshirts immediately spring to mind (not sure how many I still have left after recent clearing but I know I could wear a different Xmas tshirt every day of Dec cos they live in their own box and haven't been looked at in 2017).

House goes through stages of looking fine then the next load of stuff comes out of attic, cupboards etc and it looks depressing again then that all goes and the cycle starts again. Eventually though there will be no more in attic to get rid of and the cycle will stop. Def would be easier to get a skip and hoy it all in but I just couldn't stand the waste of that. Mr d, who would have preferred the said previous method, is coming round to think we have done it the right way round with a wee bit money in the PayPal account and a letter saying the charity shop that most of it has gone to have made £64 from my bits and bobs this year. That's a nice amount for them.

Hope you get your mojo back Kittie, bound to get a wee bit flat in the bad weather, darker days and after not feeling well xx

    Daisy xx
