I seem to have been blessed with a small burst of energy, so while it lasts I have tackled pile of paperwork and today have excavated, from various hidey holes, all the carrier bags, jiffy bags, small boxes etc which have been saved for friend Justin! Lots recycled, some in bin for collection tomorrow and the rest folded and filed tidily in size order. OH, who is much tidier than me seems to be having a sort out of lots of his stuff too bless him.

  • oh that woo has been at it again, mail arrived after my previous post. I have been expecting some money but got a fair bit more than expected :D. Wow. Now safely tucked into my house buying fund :j

Tbh I have done enough today, my body tells me so and I will be happily living in the clutter, parked for now, in my living room. The rest of the day will be a bought cookfood meal and a film and a nap. Going out took the last energy dregs, parking, mixing with people :) of all types, buying tonic for my christmas GnTs and getting the ferreros in, for my visits out over the hols. Theres an awful lot of cars already parked in the supermarket and people are almost jostling for space.

A large bag for ragging and a standard sized one full of bits and bobs dropped into small local dog rescue cs, both they and the small cat rescue one are so appreciative of everything and whilst clean and tidy are old style cs, not the corporate tarted up type, also they generally keep their prices lower. This is an expensive area to live in with few budget priced options and so are a good source for the non wealthy here:D

3 things sold on flebay and posted off (so some packaging stash used as well :D), 2 books returned to work (borrowed back in June by DD), 3 BN toiletries items taken to work for Xmas fair tombola, 1 pair of worn thin socks (DS3) to fabric recycling.

3 other items were listed on flebay at weekend, and I have another large one next to me to list (set of 4 related toys all put together in one listing - easier than doing it individually) Will have more to list when DS3 sorts them into sets for me.

Foodstuffs are being targeted now - total kitchen refit in Jan, and want to have as few 'pantry' items to pack up as poss, so am targeting things which have been hanging around. Some will be replaced after new kitchen is in, some won't. A couple of things have also been identified as suitable for the foodbank, so will be making there way there soon.

As much came in as went out today.

2 paintings went, to people who are really excited about them, but I bought a pair of socks and a new scarf.

I now have 4 scarves, but they are all very different weights, through from "cover your shoulders in the sun", to arctic. I went to the cinema with a friend and we both had the new (large) scarf over our knees like a driving rug, which felt sweet.

I've started taking Floradix again and already feel more energetic. Might tackle the dvds tonight!

Doh, I never did get around to making those chocolates that I fancied learning about, so today had to get rid of some expensive stuff like cocoa butter, cocoa liquer etc, all gone out of date and being high fat, had to go. Tomorrow I will dig out the chocolates molds, I know I have a few put away and then I will forget my ambition in that department

Boxes are very close to sorted, I have put some good combos away for dd2. The sugars need rehoming, caster, vanilla, muscovado etc. I tend to only get 500g these days and they last quite a while so need boxing and the boxes might as well stack properly as they are a bit random at the moment. The labeller comes in useful for this, makes a tidy job of it. I think these lock n lock boxes have been one of the most difficult things to KM. I am happy to give them away but obviously want to keep the useful sizes and I do have rows of these in kitchen cupboards and in the fridge. I started with a few, then lined them up in the freezer, then got another load to fit neatly on the 6" shelves my hubbie built in under the stairs, just explaining the various size combos and the sizes evolved

What on earth am I going to do when I have finished the wooden building? Arghh, must slow down as I am a bit lost without a purpose when nothing needs doing

ooh yes catshark, floradix, good winter tonic

and yes bumblebeany, yes it does make you dig into those dark corners of the mind. I remember when I was dreading starting anything after husband died. It is cathartic and leaves space in the mind for new things

Bumblebeany, my e mail is linked to plusnet and when I move, I may not have plusnet. What is a good easy hosting site for e mails, anyone please?. I want to get used to a new email well before I need to give mine up

:p Somebody mentioned children today and I (childfree by choice) remarked that I hadn't got any, I'd eaten them for breakfast.... :p Well, if you make assumptions, you should expect to have your leg pulled, hey?

Today, I will ceremoniously consign a pair of very worn -jammies to the rag bag, now they've come through the wash one last time. They came from the Everything 50p chazzer in as-new condition and have been worn to death. I am now moving onto the oldest of the brushed cotton jammies to see if I can wear them up before the warmer weather returns. I have lots of jammies and the drawer is over-stuffed.

Am also wearing an almost-pair of plain black socks from the odd sock bag. One of them has a cash's name tape with kid bruv's name on it, which I mentioned to Mum and I have to unpick and save...... a cash's name tape can outlast many a garment, I find. I still have some from my school daze.

Mother reported via phone that she's finished the Bryson book I passed on to her last weekend and really enjoyed it and it'll be heading chazzer-wards. I am also reading some on my secondhand book stash, have chosen the biggest, fattest hardcover (2 inches thick) to gain maximum satisfaction and space for getting it off to the chazzer once finished.

Hope everyone has a good evening. GQ x

How about (Microsoft) Outlook for emails? - I started to use it when I was first looking at changing broadband suppliers, so didn't want my @bluey0nder(V1rg1n)email address. I find it easier and 'smarter' to use than yah00 (have recently closed down an old (predated bluey0nder) yah00 email address)

    Kittie

I use yahoo for e mails and it seems simple so far.

I have been :o at the mention of shopping channels . I have bought quite a few things recently but some like car cleaners are for stocking presents and I also got copper bakeware at a good price as well as insulated dishes which I will need over Christmas and New Year and will also be useful for picnics etc.

Think I have finally finished shopping apart for little things in a stocking but as I have seven of them to make up I need to start planning.

Spent today wrapping some presents, noting what had been wrapped and for who in a notebook so I know what is still in transit. Four big gift boxes are full of wrapped presents and it looks much better than plastic bags of stuff cluttering my bedroom.

This feels truer every day that I follow the process, or hear about my Mum doing so.
