Morning you lovely friends
Feeling more myself today, although I can acknowledge my body is still very tired and certain muscles still sore. But I am determined to balance some work rest and play. Must admit this "enforced isolation" is rather good. I am determined in September my birthday will mark the start of a better year, in terms of how I see myself and how I manage my mental and physical wellbeing.
So today I got up and although I put on some comfortable trousers, some new trousers came in the post. They fitted just... but were rather snug across the tummy, I need some wriggle room. They are a gorgeous pinky red..... so I need to eat thoughtfully in the next week or two... to get rid of this tum... No I am not dieting. I am well aware of what is healthy and what is not, and I am going to enjoy some things I love ( cake ) but in moderation and as a treat.... we do eat three meals a day , we do eat fresh, rarely ready made, and we do eat a variety of fruit and veg. I do drink alcohol but moderately and certainly not every day. We are currently eating up stores, which means there is a small amount of chocolate and crisps. Cake I would have to make.... which I want to as I have stores to use up.... and baking is therapeutic, we do freeze and give away. So I am going to be thoughtful....
Breakfast, is special K, lunch is pork casserole, and supper will be a butchers beef burger ( use up). Snack SW Hifi bar, A treat, can be either a packer of crisps or some out of date celebrations.... plus fruit and yogurt
Yesterdays doings.
1. Admin - including personal logs and devotionals
2. Bookkeeping work - finished the year end account - hooray !
3. Made the pork casserole
4. Finished the last of the granny square knee rugs
5. Sat in the garden and listened to podcasts
Financial
1. Bought some spice jars as I am fed up with the variety of shapes, plastic lids that snap and our local greengrocers does cardboard refills so this will cut down on plastic...
2. A treat buy of a floor standing magnifying light, as I have a number of embroidery projects to finish and I have one but it only clamps to particular tables. With this I can sit in the garden, ( powered from the summer house). Is it functional, will I use it, will it enable me to finish projects that i have money on YES!
Thankfully
1. Earning some money by bookkeeping
2. Feeling more like my positive self ( hormones are settling down)
3. The delight of home deliver - in particular big bags of cat litter and the friendly delivery man.
Tune for the day.... Black Magic .... Little Mix from my Car Songs album.... as I need a little magic in my life... good tune, need to listen to the words haha

It does make you wonder how accurate these non-medical thermometers are. It's like when Mr SA had to keep an eye on his blood pressure and bought a home use machine. According to his machine my blood pressure was so low I should be dead 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Morning all you lovely friends
Last night OH asked whether I wanted to be woken up with the alarm this morning, and I said no, but typically my bladder woke me up before 8 and when I'm awake...
I am feeling out of sorts but instead of staying in this state, I have looked up what it says in my period book.... as I am aware where I am in my cycle for this time it says "Overwhelming fatigue, emotional vulnerability, teariness, anxiety and an unsettled spirit can all show up now" Tick box to all of these - so I need to accept where I am and be kind to myself.
First action of the day - after a cuppa in bed was a shower... which always makes me feel better and I have defused parts of me... I laughed yesterday listening to a "fortunately" podcast when a reader talked about missing her daughter winning her to a bed and defusing her upper lip... still need to do this along with eyebrows.
Looking outwards as i have a tendency to look inwards when I feel this way... so emails going out to friends, etc - kicking myself into action....
Doings of yesterday....
1. Admin - MSE / Devotionals - i feel better when I have done both
2. Work - to earn some pennies - researching SMP !
3. Spice jars arrived - the small pleasures of sorting my herbs/spices but I fear I will need a second lot...
4. Stuck to my menu plan
5. Read my book in the garden - do we all remember kaleidoscopes ? I had one, I loved the patterns they made
6. Basic knitted squares for blankets
7. Contacted @beanielou chair yoga lady, booked in for the month of Aug.... contacted Pilates teacher also booked in on zoom for August...
Thankfully
1. My cooking was lovely! ( Note OH does most of cooking)
2. a well written book
3. a lovely photo of my Godson in his sixth form suit.
Tune of the Day - Against All Odds - Phil Collins - the words about another person, but actually for me is about my relationship with me....As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

How exciting to be so close to 4 figures & what a good idea about the spice jars, I have similar frustrations with mine so may steal that idea from you! X1
