I am looking forward to be home alone for 24hrs......
Yesterdays Doings

3. Embroidery with new magnifying glass
4. Reading - this really good book..... A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Financial - NSD ! I am also Tilly Tallying as seen on another thread, just from my pocket money account, but have mentioned it to OH.
Thankfully
1. The good conversation with the bookkeeping client
2. Having my meals prepared for me....

Good afternoon you lovely people
How are we all, well I have moved up the river to cat sit ..... my near neighbour when in residence is HRM but I think she's gone north for her holibobs....
Miss S my feline companion seems to spend her time under the bed!
The last two days doings:
1. Finished reading the book ... it really was one not to put down, even at midnight when the police helicopter was overhead and apparently 20 police cars at the end of my road after a car chase this is very unusual activity for our part of the world.
2. Actually did some to household chores including sweeping the kitchen floor washing up and making all my own meals I have to say normally that is other halves domain.
3. Run a payroll
4. We went to lunch yesterday in the town I'm often here at this time of year to cat sit and it's usually rammed with tourists so although fairly busy it was quiet with many places closed. However we had a lovely lunch including two pineapple margaritas which was free if we signed up to their newsletter which I did and then insured other half did so to even though he was going to drink it. The felines owners had said that they will treat us to lunch and so that was a very nice gesture. We were impressed by all the measures that this restaurant had put in place and we had chosen it because it was a high ceiling and easy access venue.
5. Had to do a little bit of shopping as I realised when I arrived but I haven't packed any knickers and I was really disappointed with the mask that I had bought on the Internet. So ended up in a couple of places on the High Street and I was impressed with measures that were in place. To the most part people were respecting them. But I really am a bit puzzled with all these shoppers who wear their masks under the chin or over mouths but not nose. I even went into Mr W to get some provisions as we weren't expecting to cat sit this weekend so I needed a few bits for me again it's very big and airy and actually for the most part people are abiding to recommendations.
6. Other half went home to our cats and I spent the evening watching Vera which he agreed could come out of housekeeping as it really wasn't anything on TV last night.
7. You guessed it started another book.
8. knitted squares!!!
Financial.
Friday planned - OH got us some ready meals for the weekend on his way, to get the keys. Me - nothing!!!
Saturday planned - some groceries to keep me going over the weekend (I even resisted a magazine which is one of my weaknesses)
unplanned - some better face masks, a headband that I can use as a face mask, some knickers are really nice top, for slouching around the house for the princely sum of £8.50 instead of £29!
So took advantage of a stationary shop and managed to get two storage boxes for the charity and a narrow lined pad which I cannot get in-home delivery ( both planned but not necessarily yesterday)
Thankfully
1. The pleasure of a really good book
2. The pleasure of having some me time on my own
3. Having a lovely meal with my OH, a real treat as he does so much cooking
Tune for today has to be Blessed be his name by Matt Redmond which was played during the virtual service this morning and I sound at the top of my voice, totally out of key with nobody disturb except Miss S who was under the bed!As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Good afternoon you lovely friends!
I finally met the lovely Uncle Reg .... who inspired me you use this greeting yesterday.
Have been absent this week... as well mentally and physically life has been challenging. Been mostly reading to distract myself. It's that time of year related to loss, roll on 1st Aug.
The previous few days doings:
1. Reading - Messenger of Truth a Maisie Dobbs mystery... an old favourite
2. Coffee with a work colleague
3. a family birthday... celebrated in the garden.... difficult for me, but good for them.
4. Tea and Cake get together in a garden for Church group, mixed feelings about this....
5. Hormones everywhere = anxiety levels high.
Financial
One planned takeaway, one unplanned takeaway.
Thankfully
1. I have no external pressures such as work.
2. Uncle Reg and a friends bread pudding.
3. The ability to curl up with a book.
Tune of the day....... Make you feel my Love Adele
